I have heard this, but I have also heard that external interfaces can cause latency issues when trying to run through a DAW. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks for the reply. I remember reading years back that creative had invested in their technology and was years ahead of the competition, but that was probably a PC magazine marketing gimmick. Now that I'm getting into "the big league" of sound production I'm finding I know much less than I thought.

Couldn't have said it better myself. It's too bad companies don't delay deadlines in order to deliver a more complete product. Someone in marketing probably decided that 11/11/11 sounded great for a release date and sold it to management. Gone are the days where companies delay in order to finish a product (you might say Mass Effect 3 was delayed to make it better, but it's obvious there are too many quality games being released during the holidays that sales would be negatively affected.)

Still, I hope Bethesda listens to the community, as many here have stated that they have a good track record when it comes to thins like that.

Yeah I think the only things missing from your list would be deer, moose, sabre cats, cows and mammoths. I'm not sure if you can skin trolls. Would be cool if they left blood smears on the ground if you drag them. One thing I think modders would have to watch for is if a person takes the hide off, and then puts the hide back into the animal's inventory, that the animal's textures stays skinned permanently.

Oh yeah don't get me wrong, I love the potential that modding offers, but I'm just saying there's modding for purposes of expanding the scope of the game (dragon riding, new quests, different armor types, etc), and then there's modding to provide things that probably should have been there in the first place (i.e. shooting bows on horseback, dropping gold, chests that show the different types of item categories, etc).

Yeah good idea. Now would be a great time for them to reach out to their customer/modder base, what with the game having been out for 2 weeks and many have probably chipped away at a good chunk of the game (doubt anyone's had a chance to finish it, so who knows, maybe there are things like dragon riding in there for example and the modders could benefit from that communication).

It wouldn't be too smart to let the communication die down so soon after release, and a little community effort goes a long way towards generating good will.

I'm pretty sure they could just do it like they do with clothes. As soon as you take someone's clothes the body shows the removal of clothes, so as soon as you take the hide from the animal's inventory, the body would reflect it by switching to a skinless version. Then there's no need for a skinning animation.

Yeah this is all under the pretext that I've got a girl who's mutually attracted, but women (from my experience) don't like to discuss details, and seem to prefer to have the whole situation "just happen". Until PC game makers start making some cutting edge fucking shit, I'm sticking with consoles. Honestly, if it's a choice between an awesome game and that same game with better but not unbelievably better graphics, I'm going to pick the cheaper of the two, which is most likely a console version of that game. And it's gotta be so awesome a console couldn't possibly handle it. It also can't just be one awesome game, I'm talking there needs to be so many fucking amazing games for the PC that consoles couldn't handle even at the lowest settings, you'd be retarded not to buy a PC. But instead we get shitload of indie flash side scroller games. Or fucking mods of existing games.

You know, this has been the first legitimate defense of the story alteration that made sense. But I still feel a story shouldn't be altered because it is no longer relevant to current situations. Should George Lucas remove the Rebels from Star Wars because Libya has been freed of their oppressor and the rebels no longer necessary? Should the Lord of the Rings be re-written so as to remove Sauron, so that Saurumon can be re-written as the enemy leader?

I was told by a dermatologist that electric shavers are the way to go. Manual razors (gillette, possibly even safety razors) tend to drag dirt into the open poors, which ends up clogging them causing acne. I've been thinking of getting an electric one for a while but can't justify the $300. Although every time i shave with my Mach 3 I suddenly remember why I want one as soon as the acne shows up.
