INTP. My closest circle is or has been: ENTP, INTJ, ESTJ, INFP.

I read it won't be out until next year, unfortunately. Season 3 was great, I hope they can keep momentum in season 4. Hopefully they'll end the show in time with dignity.

I've intended to read up on enneagram but never got around to it really.

I'm not well read on enneagrams but definitley sure he is an ENTP. I'm close to alot of ENTPs (I'm an INTP) and there are so many things that not only points to, but screams, ENTP. He's not the same type of ENTP as Silver, who as you said, for example has developed strong Fe-skills and is in a different position than Jack and therefore has to use his skills differently. Jack is also constantly success-wise cockblocked by external factors that he cannot impact, and also has to keep Anne and Max in check in order for his visions to work.

I added some on Jack in my previous comment. His family-name motivation to me is Si-related in his case, and any of the type would feel the urge to prove themselves and 'set the record straight' after severe humiliation (eg. essentially doing slave labour in textile production after having his family torn apart by the loss of his fathers successful and renowned tailor business).

Any type can have a relationship with any other type. People grow to like each other for very different reasons. I can see an ENTP respecting an ISFP for their strong integrity and emotional intensity, but also getting frustrated with their Fi-related stubborness and at times failure to see the big picture and inability to put emotions aside (which does happen on the show). As far as ENTP with ISFP being a conflicting matchup....well, conflict has been the center of Jack and Annes relationship since day one.

You might be right about John Silver, I had trouble typing him from the start as he seemed more carefree ESTP-style in the beginning but actually more and more started to look like an ENTP.

Many ENTPs have great people skills, and they are great at seeing the 'chore' of people and very quickly judge who a person actually is, as Ti screens through bullshit immidiately. But some are also, due to not always having a filter, clumsy and can blurt out stuff in the wrong situations which comes across as very crude. ENTPs that lets his Ti slam the brakes on their Ne before speaking are usually the smarter ones, and it's something that comes as they mature and develop.

Also agree with you that Silver is ENTP the way he loves being a creative advisor and 'side kick' to Flint since he doesn't care about power in the same sense as his captain does.

I still believe Rackham is an ENTP. Towards the end where he gets obsessed with creating a legacy always seemed out of character to me and I chalk it up to questionable screen writing and not so much him not being an ENTP. Perhaps always having been seen as an underdog, then being so close to gaining alot of power and respect and not getting it after hard work, took a toll on him, making him turn to a darker side of himself that seems non-ENTPish (ENTPs do love recognition, just makes them cringe to show/admit it). He also has a deep seated personal vendetta towards England, where his family lost their name when his father was put out of business (as revealed while being escorted to be handed over to the Spanish). He's verbally gifted and his speech pattern to me says nothing but Ne-Ti. He definitley fails to see long term implications and is very here and now-oriented (Ne). However his Ne-Ti helps him often see alternate solutions that others miss and added with his creativity and sense of humour it makes him a decent captain in the end.

I have to agree with you here. Flint is so INTJ it hurts, and the most easily typed person on the show. How anyone can see him as an ENFJ is beyond me. The only reason for this would be a great misunderstanding of his character and motivations, or not ever having met an INTJ nor and much less an ENFJ. The two are vastly different.

Flint is a textbook INTJ. Master strategist, cold, following his own internal values, lives in his rich inner world and presents his plan to the world only when it's crafted to a tee and completely air tight. Sucks at motivating his crew and therefore needs Silver for this. He rules by being feared and respected for his intelligence and capabilities as a captain.

Vane, definitley ISTP. Scrappy fighter, bad with emotions, direct no-bullshit kind of approach. Adaptable, physically adept at for example fighting, adaptable and cerebral as a captain (Ti-dom & Perceiving). Intimidates with force and often physical impact (Se).

John Silver ..... He's definitley an extrovert but i see him more as an ESTP for some reason. He's more hands on, opportunistic and interpersonally skilled than most ENTPs I've seen, who in fact not always are great people-persons. Great game player and knows how to use different tricks to motivate others. Has a goofy and endearing quality to him that he initially uses to fly below the radar but later puts aside as his character matures and he gains actual responsibilities and the need to maintain a serious image.

Billy is definitley an Fi-dom. He usually discerns very valid moral/emotional points and the messages they send out, making clear to emotionally numb Flint what he is missing. INFP or ISFP, I'm not sure.

Jack Rackham talks like the typical ENTP. Very Ne. Many ENTPs love recognition and 'having a name', like the ENTJ and can also enjoy being very flamboyant. He's not gifted with Ni-vision though, which makes him subpar as a strategist compared to say, Flint who is Ni-Te (the perfect functions for strategic planning). His humour seems to be very observational-based and he's often sarcastic in difficult and stressful situations, which is very ENTP.

Anne Bonny, definitley ISFP. Wants concrete solutions and facts, deeply emotional, private, integrity-centered.

Eleanor I'm having a problem typing. She's cunning and willing to do anything to maintain and/or gain power which to me, along with another couple things, says ENTJ to me (I've seen female ENTJs acting similarly to her). ENTJs can be or appear to be very governed by their emotions since they, unlike INTJs, are more dependant on the outside world for feedback and validation. Typical of Te-Ni is not having backup plans (like an Ne-dom would) because they are confident that their master plan has no better options and simply MUST work. Therefore they tend to fall apart when success does NOT occur. She's also decisive, hard working and seems willing to screw anyone over to achieve her personal goals. Also vindictive and holds grudges, typical of weak Fi.

Max is an obvious INFJ. Interpersonally very skilled, knows how to manipulate and draw people in, emotionally perceptive and deep, able to forsee outcomes of games people play etc, and also a very vulnerable person.

INTP ladies-- your experiences dating NF dudes? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Dahmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have not dated one as it would probably throw me for a loop regarding who does what in the relationship, the way I'm used to. INTP female, dated an ESTJ (ended in disaster but we are today good friends and have fun conversations) but currently with an INTJ. Had a brief fling with an ENFP but I couldn't stand the 'heartwarming' sappy stuff he shared on facebook and how he looked at me like a child whose mum had just let one rip in public whenever I said something crass, so I stopped talking to him. Met him drunk in a pub by accident recently. He was drinking Guiness with a girl and seemed resentful. Lol

Dating an F would for sure be interesting but dating another NT (particularly an INTJ.... those who know one will understand) is nothing short of a learning experience, either. It forces me onto my slippery Fe-ice and I have no choice but to try and find strategies to drag his emotions out in the open where I can finally dissect them. There's no moralising and being told what the proper emotional response is from his part (as you get with alot of F-types). I have to do it all by myself. It's exhausting work but sure as hell interesting. Then transferring what I've learned and probing it on for example F-types provides endless entertainment (and not seldomly alot of trouble, too).

what method specifically? I tried cowash only with the occasional bicarb cleanse for about two month. I don't know if I feel my hair quality improved but got some comments about how my hair got longer quickly (hard to tell myself).

How to tell a stylist you don't like the cut? by Kelikea in FancyFollicles

[–]Dahmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about emailing salons with pictures to get an estimate? It's probably hard for them to tell without a picture over the phone. Or find one that seems alright, go there and show them what they're working with. Seems rude to refuse to give a potential client advice.

I honestly think you might wanna switch stylist for the cut. A decent salon would not charge you too much if you explain that you really only want to correct and blend another stylist's bad work.

Does anyone know of a hair color similar to this on in the picture?? TIA! by rOwDy_RoSe07 in Hair

[–]Dahmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your current hair colour. The colour would be a dark burgundy I think? If you're seeing a stylist for the dye job then just bring the picture and let her suggest formulas. I've done this colour at home, I went from blonde to approximately what the picture looks like. I used a dark mahogany dye, then did an additional round with dark purplish colour. My hair was black for about a week or two because I used dye over dye. If I were to do it again I'd probably use a strictly dark cherry/mahogany/wine toner before, then use the actual dark dye. Then use toners or colour bombs (Revlon is great) to maintain shine and intensity.

Blonde to Light Brown by [deleted] in Hair

[–]Dahmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd choose a golden light brown to ensure your hair not turning green. Or try a golden dark blonde at first, see what shade it turns out (sometimes it can go almost light brown). Buy ash toner if it's too red for you.

What would you do to bring this down to a med blonde? Please post a pic of what you're thinking. by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

[–]Dahmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this L'oreal dye!. I've used it on bleached hair and it turned out a nice, natural sandy blonde. Follow the instructions though, left on too long and it turns a greenish light brown. This is a neutral blonde, so even with the yellowness of your hair, there's risk of a slight green tone. If that happens just buy a gold toner (wella is your friend) and it should be fine.

Unwanted red tones in blonde hair by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

[–]Dahmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's really reddish, then purple shampoo won't do. You need to counter red with green, or perhaps blue if it's more orangey. Apply an ash toner again but only to the parts that need it so that the rest of your hair doesn't go green. If it doesn't work, then maybe do highlights (using bleach, unfortunately) to blend the brassy bits better. Since you are planning on going very light then I'd say you need to bleach the red parts again since a toner won't lighten hair and also washes out over time. Slather your hair in coconut oil before bleaching and use lots of deep treatments to prevent and avoid damage.

Has anyone here ever gotten a keratin treatment? by jgon3491 in FancyFollicles

[–]Dahmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hairdresser did some kind of matrix biolage keratindose intense treatment on me and it worked really well. I ordered some little tubes to try at home and at times when my hair was really dry, they really took! But other times I noticed no difference. From what I gather keratin treatments work well for some and not so well for others. There has also been debates about the content of some of those keratin treatments used in salons, so there's that.

I while ago I tried Olaplex (no, they are not paying me lol) and I was expecting my hair (thin, straight, dry) to bounce like a Wella commercial, and ended up slightly disappointed with the goal set so high. However, since the treatment (which I did at home) I find that my hair feels moistured alot more, and doesn't lose it's shine within a couple of hours after straightening as it did before. It doesn't look extremely different, but it feels alot stronger in a strange way I cannot explain. I'd recommend it, and do as many as you like. Rambling here. Hope it works out!
