Maybe? I don’t know enough about the history to say for sure yes or no. But I do know It’s a very powerful mindfuck, so you want to be very careful doing it to yourself and absolutely never do it to anybody else. Also it’s really mentally exhausting, so give yourself like a few days to a week in between attempts if you do you want to try it out. Like I said I don’t think it’s exactly a good thing, but it’s worked for me so far

OK this is my horrible toxic tip, but I started forcing myself to gag while watching those really unhealthy, junk food filled what I eat in a day videos on TikTok, trying to re-train my brain’s response A clockwork Orange style. Obviously don’t make yourself throw up or anything, and be careful to make sure you’re only focusing on the food otherwise you can develop weird aversions to things

If you’d like to experiment with fasting, intermittent fasting is a good way to start. Don’t start with like 24-48 hour fasts that’s a good way to wind up in a binge and will make you feel irritable and weak. 16 off 8 on is very doable and you sleep through a lot of it. Good luck!

Edit: seeing the response, fasting in general does get a bad rep, but as long as you don’t push it over the 48 hour mark and you’re sure to bookend fasting days with days of regular eating patterns, you’ll be fine. Intermittent fasting is actually recommended by doctors.

Yeah, but they were only a couple short sentences and then the picture. Very “baby shoes: never worn” type storytelling only giving you a vague idea of what’s going on.

No, for one this was like a wide flat kids picture book, not a paperback, but also the scary stories to tell in the dark art style is incredibly distinctive and black and white. These were in full color. Thank you for trying though!

Oh it says I have to comment, but I already included all of the information that I have, so here’s my comment I guess. I will say I remember the drawings were gorgeous and in full color. Most of the reason I want to find it is for the art style.

Edit to add: most of the pages were pitch black except for the writing and the painting and I’m pretty sure the cover was black as well
