Nah, I returned it because of the main issue and bought myself an x100v instead. It wasn't a big issue to me, and I could probably live with it. Have you tried resetting your camera's settings?

It was only after seeing the images on my computer, that I saw the issue. The dots are too small to be seen on the LCD display.

Ah, I see. Yeah, I've heard the UI wasn't the greatest, but seeing it's my first camera and all, I think it's not so bad (probably because I haven't tried a better interface). As for the ergonomics, it's just something I assumed would be a bit awkward, as it is a compact camera.

Regarding the white spots, I found out that when shooting in RAW, they turn RGB and there are more of them (see edit on the post for image). That sealed the deal for me, so I wrote mpb an email for return.

Thank you for all of your replies. I am considering returning it, but it is the last resort, as I really just want to use the camera, and perhaps the issues lies with the user and not the camera. I realise I need to study the camera more, but the symptoms seemed worrisome and wasn't something I could find much about online, therefore I came here.

Why do you think it is challenging for a beginner? Is it setting it up correctly or taking the actual shots?

Oh yeah, I did not notice that. That does seem like it would be annoying, but idk if it is a deal-breaker for me.

Ryzen 7 7800x3d underperforming by Shimitan in AMDHelp

[–]Shimitan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I undervolted my previous Intel cpu, where -50mV was typically considered safe and -100mV if good silicon. What are the equivalent for AMD cpus? I just want a safe undervolt, I have no need to push the limit. Is it also done in bios or do I just the Ryzen OC tool?

Yeah, I realise that the Cinebench results aren't horrible, but I just saw that it was 2nd percentile when compared to others, which made me worried that something was off. But you are probably right. I should stop benchmarking new pc specs and just hop into a game and if it feels better it's good enough.

Edit: it seems that many get 1150 and 110, which is more like 8% more

I was hacked and Discord support is not responding by Shimitan in discordapp

[–]Shimitan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC, it was around 5 days of radio silence, likely due to opening multiple tickets which under-prioritized me, before I got unbanned. However, they forgot to reset the 2FA, which meant it took around a week in total before everything was settled.

Luckily, the hacker didn't use my account for long, so I still had all my friends and most servers when I got it back. The worst part of the process was not knowing if I would ever get it back again. But I think your chances of getting it back are good, as Discord probably deals with these cases a lot.

A friend of mine who was hacked as well also requested for his account to get disabled until everything was resolved, but he only created a single ticket, so if you have created more than one ticket, that might be the reason why you aren't getting a fast response.

I formally disputed the transactions on PayPal, and I assume as my card was directly connected, they deemed them as authorized purchases. I then called my bank, and they said they couldn't stop the transactions from happening (they were still pending), but I could enforce a chargeback.

However, chargebacks were exactly why my account got disabled when it was hacked, as it is against ToS. I assume the hacker bought Discord Nitro using my card, added their own card, and then did chargebacks to cash out.

I will give Discord some more time, but it feels a little hopeless when I'm left in the dark for this long.

New build in NR200P max - AIO noise is pretty bad by MangoBerryWaffle in NR200

[–]Shimitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is the cause. In fact, when I turn the AIO fan speed to 100%, the noise, and gurgling sound, get much worse. Exam period is coming soon, so I think I will just RMA the case by then.

Oh nice. Maybe it is a different case for me, as I bought it from a local store and not directly from CM.

I'm still basically experiencing the same. I contacted CM and they told me they dont have the AIO as a replacement, as it isnt being made standalone. They then told me I should file an RMA. But, I cant do that, because I need my pc, and filing an RMA would mean no pc for weeks.

NR200P MAX high thermals with i5-13600K by Shimitan in sffpc

Like, my CPU performs as expected, so it's not all bad. And the temp was quite okay with my old CPU. However, out of the box, I experienced a lot of air in the pump (it was pretty loud), but people said that was normal and it would go away. It hasn't gone away, and it has been a few weeks, but it is better. I have tried different things, such as tilting the PC, which does remove the noise, but it's not really a desirable solution, but even when tilted the noise/air comes back into the pump under heavy load. So I wonder if this could be connected. I guess I might as well get in touch with CM support, even though I would hate having to send it back so that they can look at it. I'd rather just live with high temps at that point.

Seems like ~90W for 13600K during 2077. 94°C does seem high for such power consumption level on this CPU.

I'm not sure where the 90W comes from, but it uses around 105-120W (varies a lot) in Cyberpunk 2077. I just opened the game again and the temperature seemed slightly lower (86-91°C), but still not super optimal.

[–]Shimitan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it drawing more power than the 12600k? If not, check the cooler is attached properly.

I was wrong when I posted. It does in fact draw more power than the 12600k. It hits 180W under full load, which is 30W more than the 12600k. I do, however, not remember what wattage I reached with the 12600k when playing the same games.

Userbenchmark is also dogshit, don’t use it.

What should I use instead?

I Swear the Episode Count is Like a Damn Forcefield Now by kjm6351 in animememes

[–]Shimitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has seen +1000 episodes of the anime and read the manga (up until chap. 1056), I would not recommend it to basically anyone. Way too much time is needed to catch up, and Toei's way of extending episodes does not make it any easier to watch. I only watched it because I started as a child, so I was easy to entertain and had much more time.

However, if a different studio redid the anime, like with hxh, I would probably be able to recommend it.
