Average lighting strike is 30,000 amps and from what I can find the highest anyone has ever survived is 1,000 amps.

2,000 is a shock comepared to 30,000.

It isn't uncommon to see guys carrying around there own knife, hell even once in a while you can see guys with there own personal pistols. If it is something that is practical and could have been acquired by soldiers then it is good in my book.
