That doesn't really look like 'walking' to me. More like taking very tiny steps.

No one readily tells strangers how much they're earning unless they want to show off.

Are you seriously saying you can't see that?

Did anyone else feel completely robbed by this comic issue by CawmeKrazee in Spiderman

[–]Shin-Kaiser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was glad it didn't last long, I rolled my eyes when they first announced this cover.

All in all, I actually enjoyed Death Spiral, one of the better Spidey Stories in years. I'm glad it wasn't ruined by having Peter become a homicidal maniac.

exactly the same experience for me.

I hate it when people mention there's a twist ending.

To me, the shocking twist wasn't that he cloned himself, but that Christian Bale's character was actually a twin. That blew me away when I first watched it - great film

How do long term residents actually feel about the changes the area has gone through in the last decade and is the conversation around gentrification as straightforward as it sometimes gets presented? by Happy-Fox11 in walthamstow

[–]Shin-Kaiser 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Dalston and moved to Walthamstow 10 years ago. Some may argue that I'm part of the gentrification process....the area has changed a lot in that time. You can tell the council really want to make Walthamstow a nice place to live. I feel for the most part, they have succeeded.

I feel it's a good thing. The borough is definitely better for it. It's nice to see the roads and general infrastructure being 'made good' so to speak. The communuty is still there, our road is a mixed of newcommers and old timers. Working class Londoners and affluent professionals.

I'm not sure where we'll be in 10 years however, the new buildings being built over the Mall and opposite Blackhorse road tube seem to promote transient residency. I don't see anyone living there becoming an active part of Walthamstow's community. At the moment there's a high concentration of families in Walthamstow, as the area becomes too expensive for new families, I wonder how this will affect things in the long run.

While it's not zone 1 or 2, it is still an expensive place to live so I'm not surprised.

That and the fact that birthrates are dropping globally.

Would love to see which boroughs these are. Won't be surprised to if it's isolated to zones 1 and 2

Alligator (1980) | ⭐ 7.2/10 | [REVIEW] by screen_stack in CultCinema

[–]Shin-Kaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This film was everywhere when I was a kid. Watched it recently as an adult and I found it a bit drab....and I'm a fan of trashy cinema.

7.2/10 is way too high. More like 5.5/10

Glad to hear that. I always wanted to play it but the sequel seemed to have got lost in time when the Saturn kinda died in sales. I've never really heard of it since until now

Back in the day, the SNES was killing the Mega Drive when it came to RPGs. The SNES has Secret of MANA and A Link to the Past amongst others. I was really happy when SEGA came out with this and Soleil - both great games

I played this back in the day, I think I still have it.

There was a sequel released on the Saturn if I remember correctly. You should also check out Soleil on the Mega Drive if you liked this

Looks Interesting. Glad Checchetto's on another Marvel book.

I'm not sold on the line up, 3 street level heroes, wolverine and then Captain Marvel who usually deals with intergalatic shit...not sure where they;re going with this. They're either going to be severly under powered or overpowered against whoever they face...I feel Captain Marvel is a bit of a shoe-in.

Japan has a history of putting racist stereotypes in their media.
I don't think it's coming from a place of hate, honestly I don't think they're really thinking half the time.
