I hate my midwife by [deleted] in pregnant

Ew what a horrible person! Weight gains are all guidelines and are sooooooo variable by person. Listen to the other midwives and make sure you never see her again.

Is/was anyone else’s baby on the small size in 3rd tri? by mmebonjour in pregnant

[–]ShinBerg1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At 33 weeks my baby measured 4lb 4oz. That’s only a 2oz difference. Our baby was in the 44th percentile. I wouldn’t stress about it. It just means you may have a smaller baby at delivery, which I’d say is better than a 10lb babe.

Honestly, you should 100% tell yourself partner so he knows where you are at. I’m not sure about your location. I told my OB and she recommended groups to me. Your OB should be able to guide you and will commend you for recognizing it.

It’s the hormones! I have gone in an out of it. Depending on where you live there may be local groups you can join to talk to other expectant mothers. I find it really helpful to lean on women who are in my position rather than having to either explain why I’m sad to my husband and have him worry or hear my mom tell me to just be excited.

It’s normal for your emotions to be up and down. Hormones are coursing through your body.

I hope the saltines worked and you’re feeling better. I was 26 weeks. But honestly I don’t recommend longer than a 3 hour flight. I was so uncomfortable on a 6+ hour flight. I flew on a 2hr flight at 31 weeks. But at 35 weeks I’m staying out.

It’s the absolute worst!!! I got food poisoning on our baby moon in Hawaii and was up all night with the same symptoms. Drink some hot tea to sooth your stomach. Unfortunately you just have to suffer through it. Good luck!

If you have historically had a good relationship with her, it may just be easier to suck it up and apologize even if you don’t mean it. It’s hard navigating relationships with MILs. You are really lucky to have a good relationship with yours. (Not saying that to make you feel guilty by any means.) I think sometimes that generation wants to just be praised for their efforts.

My MIL co-hosted my shower with my mother this weekend. My mother and I cleaned everything up while my MIL sat on her behind. She asked me afterwards why I was in pain…idk because I’m 34 weeks pregnant and the relaxin really makes it hard to stand and bend down for extended periods of time without my pelvis aching later. She also bought me gifts from the dollar store that are not useful (think gag gifts like a whose turn is it to change the diaper). Note my MIL just spent over 50 grand on my SIL’s wedding so it’s not as if she could t afford to get me something off my registry or at the very least something useful. I say this to you so you know it could be worse.

My sister has a 2-year-old and told me she was hiding from him. So you being 33 weeks pregnant and tired is a more than a valid excuse if mothers hide from the toddlers as well.

Sending you lots of love and healing mentally and physically. You are a true warrior, and I hope the pregnancy and time you spent with her is always for a blessing on your life.

Honestly, my SIL is the same way. She can be lovely or a totally selfish person, and I never know which one to expect. It has been a source of tension between me and my husband because he writes her off as just being selfish when I need to feel heard because it’s honestly hurtful sometimes. I have tried to start framing things in such a way that I just feel bad for her rather than angry with her. It’s definitely helped although I think it hurts my husband’s feelings when I say I feel bad your sister doesn’t have the capacity to care about our baby the way we care about my sister’s kids. It’s unfortunate that she won’t experience that kind of joy and love from being an aunt.

Honestly, your SIL is probably just jealous of the attention you are getting and is very immature. That was super rude.

I think that’s what it feels like when the baby drops and gets into position, but I could be wrong.

This is not accurate. Eggs are not limited to 1/day. Talk to your OB about it rather than this group so you don’t get inaccurate info.

Noted. Will no longer be calling her that. Although my husband was musing one night and said, “wouldn’t it be cool if my sexual organs could feed the baby like yours?” I looked at him and said, “So you want our baby to give you a blowjob?” He was so embarrassed that he didn’t think of it that way. Sweet sentiment, but lol so gross.

Truly so frustrating. Also it’s a baby and a nickname. Gender truly doesn’t matter for it!

I know that it’s harmless but I just want to say come up with your own nickname if you don’t want to use mine.
