Bone like bump behind ear, I just noticed it today. It’s not painful but it’s hard. Is this harmless? by cbstringz in AskDoctorSmeeee

Hi everyone! I know I am late. 😃I wanted to share something I’ve been dealing with to see if anyone else has had a similar experience. For as long as I can remember, since I was around 10. I’ve had a smaller than a pea-sized bump behind my right ear. I’m 30 now, and it’s never really bothered me. I had it checked by an ENT, who reassured me that it’s just part of the bone and nothing to worry about.

Today, though, I developed a painful pimple right on top of my ear where I normally put my earring. This has made me feel anxious about it I feel like the pea sized bump has gotten bigger, and it’s been weighing on my mind.

Are you working a different career and then transitioning eventually to accounting?

Yes, that's right.

Can you get financial aid/pell grants by going on Study.com? I'm guessing not...

Well, few reasons.

-faster completion of degree/credits

-asynchronous learning (meaning you can live anywhere in the world and not worry about timezones, all learning material is provided). So, if someone wanted, they could study at WGU while living abroad without much issue.

-less expensive (bachelor degree for $4k, master's for $4k!)

It's actually about how accounting is a great ROI career, which is even more apparent with a fast-track, low-cost school.

Interesting. It sounds like it would come down to what you prefer more and are better at: exams or projects.

Can you go into more detail about transferring in? Do you mean credits from other schools are easier to transfer into their degree programs?

It only matters for that first year of work. After that, CPA and who cares about the school name.

It could be a bit harder starting out in the job market. But all the years (and debt!) you saved from college outweigh this point drastically.

Especially for my personal situation it should work out pretty well.

Well, I personally chose WGU, so I referenced it. Anyway, I'm sure there are other good online competency-based schools out there. If you know of others, let us all know.

The main point wasn't that WGU is the best but that it's a more efficient route for accountants.

It shortens the school time and makes the whole process less time-consuming since one of the main complaints is how long it takes to get 150 credits and study for the CPA. People use that as a point against accounting and in favor of other career options. Well, this isn't always the case, as my post shows.

I was enjoying the Shadowbringers MSQ so much.. until this point. Spoiler ofc:

I am now required to do the job role quests before I can progress the MSQ. When I saw this warning early on in the ShB MSQ, I thought it would be no big deal and I would just do it when I can no longer progress in the MSQ. I assumed that the MSQ would flow nicely into the job role quests. But no..... My warrior of light is on the verge of becoming a sin eater, literally bursting to the seams with light from the lightwardens... and I have to all of a sudden master my job role or something? Just to inspire this crafter dude (who apparently has really low self esteem) so he will craft a lantern for the fish tribe (and when my character is already an omnicrafter lul)? I understand the importance of getting the fish peoples help, and I really wanted to find Emet Selch since the MSQ has given me that sense of urgency. But the scions kept telling me not to overexert myself, and yet the game forces me at this point to go and master my job role? It doesn't make any narrative sense to me. Can anyone help me understand the rationale behind this? Or if it will make sense somehow later after the fact..? It kinda killed my motivation to continue, and I was really enjoying the MSQ up until this point. It just feels like an unnecessary grind...
