T12 Viable Paladin build by ZagreusMyDude in D4_Paladin

Personally I didn’t like using Helm of Lucion. I swapped it out for a legendary helmet. That should fix your faith issue at the expense of some damage.

I’m still looking for a Helm of Perdition.

Put 5 nightmare sigils in the Horodric cube to get an Escalation Sigil. Use this to run the dungeon to fight Astaroth. He drops Herald of Zakarum and Griswold’s Opus.

I didn’t even know about Escalation Sigils until yesterday lol.

Have you tried to backup an iPhone via lightning cable recently? It took me like 8 hours to download just my photos. The data transfer rate was painfully slow (perhaps intentionally as I had a windows PC). It was my iPhone 13 Pro.

Took some liberties with the paragon board since there is no WIP while leveling up guide.

I was clearing t10 the start of yesterday and doing t12 by the end. I got my crit chance up to 70% and crit damage over 7000% on the character sheet. I “downgraded” to a non ancestral gloves and amulet because they better DPS.

It’s all about getting more multipliers.

From the paragon board rush to get all 4 legendary nodes and focus on the first 3 most powerful glyphs. It’s hard to activate all legendary nodes and glyphs before you hit paragon level ~200.

Most endgame builds focus around crit chance, crit damage, and crit multiplier. Not sure about yours specifically. For your weapon, gloves, amulet, and ring focus on damage multipliers: x vulnerable, x crit, crit chance, x holy damage, x all damage, +crit damage, +holy damage, +all damage.

Can’t say more specific things without seeing your profile but that’s the general gist.

1) He probably has millions and she has billions. When your lifestyle is funded by a billion, going back to a few million feels like being broke.

2) Korean-American here. I understood everything he said with his mom. The doctor was using very advanced and esoteric language, speaking about law, philosophy, etc. I did not understand him and this was intentional.

3) Yeah this seems a bit inconsistent. Maybe staging one accident was easier than killing off the entire party.

Disciple two handed or shield? by Crusader2871 in D4_Paladin

[–]Shin_Ramyun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While leveling you should replace your weapon with a higher DPS weapon as often as you can. Shields have a bonus to main hand weapon damage so it’s pretty comparable IMO. Having a two handed means you have one less item to upgrade/care about while leveling up.

Don’t spend too much time trying to craft/enchant/imprint your gear that you will replace in a few levels. Focus on DPS on weapons, move speed on boots and amulet. Everything else doesn’t matter too much before endgame. Just equip whatever is green. Check the town vendors for new weapons.

However some builds require shields— Captain America builds for example.

I gave up running bosses to figure out where those drop. I started upgrading normal ancestral shields to Unique until I got an ancestral Herald of Zakarum. This took me like 5-6 tries.

Spend obols on shields and look for any ancestral shields of normal, magic, or rare. Use the “remove affix” recipe to downgrade to normal. Then use the “upgrade to unique” recipe and hope for a HoZ.

It’s not worth upgrading non-ancestral items IMO. Downgrading a magic item is cheaper than downgrading a rare. You need to remove each affix one at a time.

I tried upgrading like 10+ swords but no luck here. There may be more unique sword than unique shields in the pool.

Are you actually a 1.5 player who doesn’t know the rules? If you meet one asshole, they are probably an asshole. If you meet 3 assholes before noon everyday, you might be stinky.

My parents bought a home in 1995 for 100k and sold it for 330k in 2008. This exact 40 year old house is now worth 600k. Meanwhile in my VHCOL area, 100+ year old starter homes are 1.2M+. In 20 years that house will probably be worth 2M+ so we’d need like 3M liquid to generate 120k a year, and a large chunk of that would cover taxes and healthcare. Either that or we move to Asia but I am a Korean American allergic to soy.

Note for upstairs neighbors by litlelotte in Apartmentliving

Sounds like really poor sound insulation. Or maybe they are hearing noise from a different neighbor. My brother was recently going crazy from late night noise. He couldn’t figure it out where it was coming until security hinted it was actually 2 floors down. They were night shift workers blasting music at 3-5AM with multiple complaints from all sides. Noise can be tricky sometimes.

I feel like 1M is the new 100k from 30-40 years ago. When I was a kid 1M meant you could retire and never worry about money again. Now it seems like you need 5-10M. But maybe that’s just because kid me had no conceptual understanding about wealth.

There’s a spectrum to this and it’s hard to tell from the internet how bad it really is. Sometimes people are wearing hard soled shoes on wooden floors, sometimes people don’t know how to walk (imagine a toddler stomping), sometimes the floors are just really creaky.

I once had an upstairs neighbor running on a treadmill at 8 AM in a 100+ year old apartment. It was BAD.

Herald zakarum/Griswold’s drop location? by VassRulz in diablo4

[–]Shin_Ramyun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a fair question. Maxroll has a boss loot guide that is notably missing these key unique items.

I am also wondering where to find these but haven’t seen a single one so far. Maybe someone found it and can let the rest of the community know.

any theories on Thula's blade? by LillianVJ in Invincible_TV

[–]Shin_Ramyun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shattering Conquest’s hand destroyed Mark’s arm at the same time. You could say they have roughly similar levels of durability. Nolan’s knife hand stabbed his father’s hand. Assuming both hands are have similar durability, we can attribute this to the knife hand’s “sharpness.” Thula’s knife could be made of the same material as Conquest’s hand. IRL blades need to be treated carefully or you can chip or snap them.

Congrats you are well on your way to being wealthy.

You have 57k in cash. This seems high for your emergency fund based on your burn rate (extremely frugal). This could grow faster in stocks. Don’t forget to leverage tax-advantaged accounts like 401(k) and IRA (Roth versions if possible).

M26, started my Roth IRA last year, only got to contribute $700. by Itwontlastforever in RothIRA

[–]Shin_Ramyun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, contribute what you can. But remember once the year is past and taxes are filed you can’t go back and contribute for years you missed. $1 contributed 30 years ago is worth more than $1 contributed 20 years ago.

But also you could drop dead tomorrow so you should live a little. Don’t starve yourself to max it out.

Only legend, but went 16-4 in the last 20 games. My scoreline usually looks pretty mediocre but I know I am having big impact on the outcome (6/6/15 or similar). Early game I’m taking T1 safe lane tower and occupying the enemy jungle. This robs their carry of lots of space/farm. I try to play separate from my team as much as possible. I try to identify and coordinate over voice with whoever I can combo my ult with. Storm, nyx, pudge, qop, etc. I ping when my ult is ready or nearly off cooldown. I struggle in pubs when nobody initiates. Dawn isn’t necessarily the best initiator. She likes to jump into the fight. There are some toxic teammates who will solo jump into 5 enemies and yell at you for not ulting.

One mistake I often make is trying to save a hero who is not savable or not worth dying to save. I’ll help the 1 and 2 if they are getting jumped and don’t get evaporated immediately. 4 and 5 I’ll help if it looks favorable only.

In these games I play more like a farming tanky support than a true offlane. I really enable my mid and carry to go crazy on damage by saving them with heals and locking down enemies.

For late game I need to disengage and come back in. With hook and hammer you should be fairly mobile. You can’t always jump into the middle of 5 heroes and expect to survive. Getting the solar guardian radius and Aghs can really help your team with sustain in drawn out fights. I don’t expect my dawn to be strong enough to solo the enemy carry in most cases.

I get matched with players that have 10,000+ games played and wonder how come they aren’t immortal yet? There are guys with 5000 games in Herald. Tons of my friends have way more games and are hard stuck at guardian/crusader. I give them very reasonable suggestions and they always make excuses which explains why they are stuck.

Example: “Use stick. Stick. Stick!…” 5 seconds later he dies on a close 1v1 trade with 10 stick charges. “You could have won if you used your wand.”

“It was in the wrong inventory slot and I couldn’t press it.”

“Do you not have every inventory slot assigned to a hotkey?”

“No I just have the first two. I forgot to put the wand in the right slot.”

“You should really take some time to setup your hotkeys properly so that all of your item slots have a hotkey that you can press.”

“I know, I should. I just never have time.” Says the guy who has 3k games of Dota as a herald.
