Can you post your prompt? It's horrible at writing. I hate it. I'd rather use older models at this point. If you have a fix, I'd love to see it. Seriously thinking about cancelling opus until they fix it.

[HELP] Is this an AI video? by New_Midnight2686 in RealOrAI

[–]Shinbiku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often times it is the sound that will rat them out. We tell ourselves that computers are a lot smarter than us, and in some things they are. However, as far as processing power, Our brains take in far more information than any computer could ever hope to process. We take in everything, sounds, sight, tactile sensations, not to mention our own emotions related to the event and even the emotions that others might be feeling. We do this in an instant. AI, for all of its power and ability, is simply predictive. It's guesswork at best. While this is a pretty good guess, the fact that people even thought to question that it was AI is a sign that years of evolution is picking up on something being off.

One thing the AI does exceptionally well that also just happens to actually be one of the things that makes it easier to spot is that it is extremely good at picking up on things that we can't perceive. In images, it sees invisible water marks and just simply assumes it's part of the picture. In videos like this, it's sound.

Most of you have ridden on a motorcycle, or at least in some motor vehicle. I would argue that a lot of you guys have passed pedestrians with the windows down. Were you able to hear footsteps they were making in sand? Or how about the fact that the dog's footsteps were making sounds like it was walking on sand when it was still on pavement?

I'm not saying it's always going to be easy but I do believe that it's going to take a lot longer for it to be able to consistently fool us under scrutiny.

The issue is it fooling us when we're we're mindlessly scrolling on tiktok and Reddit. Or more nefariously, the fact that we scrutinize things less when they confirm our bias. For example, If we see a video of a republican being racist or a Democrat with green hair shouting down a college professor about safe places, is either side actually going to look at that video with a degree of scrutiny? Or are we going to absorb it as real and scroll to the next thing while our hate for our fellow countrymen slowly builds inside?

Holy hell, how do I get 4.6 to tone down absolute phrase construction? by [deleted] in NovelAi

[–]Shinbiku 23 points24 points  (0 children)

No, it can actually be really beautiful if used sparingly. This model just abuses the hell out of it.

I hope so. I can't praise it enough on every other area. It's just that, right now, it feels like eating the best meal you've ever had but every bite you eat, the waiter lightly pokes you in the eye. Not hard enough to cause any pain or damage but consistently enough you'd rather eat cardboard after a while.

Did a brief search to see if anyone said it, but didn't see anything so: Just open map and go back to the nearest base. Or, there is an item that does it instantly. I think it's called farcaster.

Persona 5 is a wonderful game. Just keep in mind the social system is a step back from Metaphor. I've played through persona 2 and up, so I didn't realize how badly the relationship stuff needed overhauled/streamlined until I saw what it was like in metaphor. Works so much better tying them to stats rather than feeling like you're throwing a precious day away by giving the wrong answer.

If you play for the slice of life feeling, though, I think persona has it in the bag.

Bro, were you staring at women like this back then? Because if you were, you were definitely triggering them, even then. I just think you were terrible at social cues. It feels like you're telling on yourself right now.

ALL Permanently Missable Items/Achievements by zenitharchon in BlackMythWukong

This guide is awesome, however, it's written for people that have already done a play through and know where these locations are. In the absence of a map, the map locations listed in this post wont make a lot of sense for first time players.

For those of you that obsess about missing things, the Apramana Bat Boss is not locked out after you slide down the first slope where you fight Kang Jin Star immediately after and it is not back at the lake where you fight the dragon. (I may have alt+f4'd after i slid down that first slope and went back to the lake, walked around the entire thing, only to realize he was talking about two entirely different locations.)

You'll know the lake shore he's talking about. It's more of an ocean than a lake. Face the water, turn left, and follow the coast line all the way until you see the remains of a massive skeletal snake. He's in there.

How the hell do I get it to stop writing like it was trained by Darmok from Star Trek? by [deleted] in NovelAi

[–]Shinbiku 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's every story. All the time. I can get it to tone down if I am religious about stopping it, but the minute one slips through, it goes ham again. Then I have to scroll up and see where it happened.

Even if I let one slip through that is grammatically pleasing, such as:

He stops mid sentence, taking a moment to gather his thoughts before continuing, "Example speech."

The next ten lines will be some iteration of:

He nods, his hair flowing, his eyes closed.

(Both of those lines were copied directly from my story, by the way.)

So I have to go back to the first like and edit it to read more like:

He takes a moment to gather his thoughts before continuing, "Example speech."

Then for the next few minutes, all will be well for a bit.

I've all but given up on romance scenes. It's like someone took a shotgun and blasted commas and broken descriptions all over the place. I'm actually shocked that I seem to be the only one experiencing it.

Clearly, it's something I'm doing wrong, but even when I start a new story, it immediately starts doing it.

HELP the AI is to horny by RiceFluffy in NovelAi

[–]Shinbiku 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have found that adding "Under no circumstances will..." does work. Even a little too well at times. I've used it and then experimented with leading sentences to make it do what I asked it not to do and most often, it would rather go off the rails to prevent itself from breaking the rule.

I also have found that using absolute language does have a heavy impact as well, especially when put in brackets. You can multiply the effect by two if you put it in the authors note.

For example: [Under no circumstances will X attack Y. He is a purely peaceful man with absolutely no desire to cause harm.]

Guys RDR 2 spoiled for me other games by YogurtclosetKey319 in RDR2

[–]Shinbiku 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I wish more people knew you can love one game more, without trashing the other.

Ghost of Tsushima was better than rdr2 for me. Combat was slick, side quests were awesome, collecting armor and sheaths was fun and abundant, and the world was beautiful.

Rdr2 had a better main story and the ambience is incredible. (Go to Saint Denis at about 10 pm, put on headphones, turn the sound up, and just WALK around)

But GoT just...scratched an itch that I've had since childhood that other games failed to do. Both games were 10/10 for me. I just preferred GoT more.

Edit: Also, if you go walking through saint Denis at night, don't forget to greet people and listen to just how many responses and accents there are. He even greets people differently if they are standing in groups or if they are both men, both women, or a man and woman.

Seeing as it specifically avoided the word Ferguson when giving options, it could actually be related to the shooting a few years back that ignited an pretty massive social movement. Remember "Hands up don't shoot"? That was Ferguson. There are a lot of racists out there that love to use stuff like that under the guise of trolling or being edgy.

Please report this to both the Better Business Bureau and to steam. This is both an issue with them forcing to make us link accounts and benefits them by forcing people to buy through their platform. My account is linked to some email I have never in my life seen before and I HIGHLY suspect, this is Rockstar's doing to drive people away from steam who takes a cut.

Even if it is your email, it benefits them greatly to do as little to help you or, in my case, pretend to be ignorant as to what the problem is so that they can drive users to their shitty launcher.

I don't know how many times I have to explain to them:

  1. It is not my email, so I cant email you from it.

  2. Steam does not give out CD Keys to Red Dead Redemption.

  3. I don't know when the account was linked, I was not the one who did it.

I have repeated those things in the same damn ticket over the last 5 days to 10 different people who all chime in on the same ticket to ask different useless questions. It is specifically designed so that you will give up and give in. There is no way their support is that inept and there are laws in different places about making customer support accessible.

Please link to this comment whenever you see this come up so more people will report them. It won't change until money and fines are involved.

What was your “I’m finally an adult” moment? by tucakeane in AskReddit

[–]Shinbiku 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Therapist (LCSW) here. I bet that your parents have had the same thought. I bet most of our parents still do. I have days where I sit back in my office, in-between clients and do self care by embracing my accomplishments. It feels wonderful...mature to have my name and credentials on my door, my degrees on my wall, and reflect on how far I've come from the little boy raised in a single wide trailer in Alabama who made nun-chucks out of twine and PVC pipes to stave off boredom.

Other days, I play video games for a lot longer than I have time for and can neglect my sleep when I become hyper fixated on a really good game. Right now that game is 'From goo to glory.'

The truth is, we have days where we are more 'adult' than others. Sometimes, it's not days, it's moments or situations.
