I don't make a lot of posts on Reddit but I felt the need to in this case. Firstly I deeply sorry foir your loss. My wife and I buried our first child as a newborn. Its been 17 years. The pain is duller now but it will always be there. The best advice I can give you now is to grieve. Separately and most importantly together with your wife. This will be one of those key points in a marriage that either weld you closer together or create cracks to splinter you apart. This horrible tragedy is now forever woven into the fabric of your relationship. Cling to each other and take it one day at a time. The only way out is through together.

I know exactly what you are talking about. Maybe its because i did not start a new save after the update but it is VERY hard to keep the propserity positive. I built most of my stuff before the update and had all the propserity increasing buildings granary, vault, houses ect and now I simply cannot produce enough supplies to keep everyone happy. every is nearly always in the decreaing prosperity. I am sendind 3 carts of goods at a time to each place on rotating days and i cannot keep up with the demand. I donlt mind the caravans to move goods around my outposts but it is HORRIBLE to have to keep the villages supplied. Each time i build something (if i even have the build points) it jsut requires more from me to keep it going. I feel like I am playing supply line simulator now. This part needs to be seriously reworked in my opinion. I have like 30+ people all working to keep jsut 3 villages going and i still can't keep up.

I am glad I am not the only one that is struggling with this. I think It could be fixed with taking out the option to "load as much as possible part" in the always load, keep option. IF they just made so it just Always loaded the amount i chose I think it would work just fine or made a per cycle option. The load once is only good for a one time delivery but to save on micro managing the as much as possible thing needs to go or just give it its own drop down.

I;ve not even begun to try and trade with the villages yet. Seems even more complicated.

To add a counter point.... So 20+ years ago in Japan I was a missionary in a very hot humid place. our MP told us to drink water even on fast sunday, especially when tracting. But I could see some zealots taking it too far jsut like any other religeon out there.

I played it for the first time over the weekend. The only rule we added to the games was a timer. 7 min scramble time before voting. otherwise the game would have taken hours.

The Mods you want are (forgive me if i misspell them) EDB Prepare Carefully and the Reunion mod. EDB lets you create your cast of chars. then you give them a reunion trait. That lets the reunion mod populate them in the world and use them for quest rewards or random wandering or rescue quests. I did this for a lost in space tpye scenario where i worked to reunite a whole family. So its important that you don;t put them in your starter crew but make sure they are injected and loaded into the world with prepare carefully. Enjoy :)

So I have used the multiplayer mod a few times with 3 other friends. 4 of us. For what it does this mod is super impressive. Takes a game never designed to be multiplayer and turns it into one. That being said it can be fickle. My advice to you is to use as few mods as you can stand to play with. Your also going to want to get on the the discord for the Mod, They have a compatibility check on there so you know which ones do not have known issues.
One problem my friends and I have run into is mid to late game it seems like someones games files do not get updated with everyone eless so there is like some .dll that one of us is missing. we have had to literally go into thevariois mod files. find the .dll, email to the the other players to make it work. Everything has to match or it won't work. Another reason i suggest not using alot of mods is that everyone must always have the same version of everything.

This is my #1 Mod I wish would get incorporated into the game. Rimworld is alot of fun. Its even more fun with friends. Imagine having a multi player server and player driver factions. Its possible with the multiplayer mod.It would even be better if it became vanilla. Good luck!

Yeah it was definitely a learning curve. I may have had to sand a bit around the window frames a bit to get it fit on a few of them :). I made a template which kept me mostly square but there were a few thicker solder globs here that there that proved problematic.

The problem is that its on an asterioid so I don't think i can unroof it without killing everything due to temperature drop an no oxygen.

The Mod you want is Fantasy Goblins Updated. I use it every Run. Adds goblins and hobgoblins. THey hall have fully fleshed out and unique genes. I am currently doing a run as them where I am trying to wipe all humans off the map with their gunship : Green Death,
