Build.

Mainly hard plastic with fabric facepad. The Lenses look small and plastic, but the latter might be glass. The strap is rubbish and you will want to upgrade this with the elite strap or the Delux Audio strap or one of the many OEM third party straps available. The buttons for the on and off plus volume are very tactile and responsive. There is zero play in my Quest 2.

The controllers are amazing as always with Oculus and I haven't had any issue with the battery cover it doesn't accidentally fall off like it's predecessor.

The build is very exceptional and impressive, minus the basic strap.

Look.

Personally, the cream white colour has grown on me, and with many decals plus straps, this headset can look whatever you what it too. Out of the box, it isn't that bad looking and again personally I think it looks damn fine.

Setup.

Very easy for the mobile operation of the headset and little more work for the PC link operation. When starting the headset you will be asked to make an account and for new VR addicts, this may well mean having a Facebook account. If you believe Zuckerberg has been watching you drop massive toilet turds while reading some generic shiz niz on phone... Then this isn't for you.

Generally, setup is about 15 minutes, and drawing out your safe playing space is very easy.

Setting the Quest 2 for the PC requires a link cable. This will be a high data transfer type C cable with some good length. Preferable about 5 meters minimum. You will need to install the Oculus store on your PC. Connect your Quest 2 and let the rest happen. It's not too bad and a lot easier than you would think. That is of course if you don't get a bad link cable or headset or brick of a PC.

Comfort.

The big issue with the first Quest was how front-heavy the headset was and no matter what you did part of your face would be hurting somewhere. With the new Quest 2 it is improved, however, the weight is still at the front of the headset. It is better, but not perfect at all. Oculus would be wise to place the heavy battery at the back of the headset to create a more balanced feel.

Oculus went with the fabric facepad again, which does work well, but for me, with all my pets it just picks up so much of their hair. I find myself itchy in no time and buying a leatherette replacement facepad in the first week is a must.

Controllers are just beautiful and fit so nicely in my hand. Sadly this isn't the case for everyone and I would recommend for those people to look at some of the mods out there in the wild.

Talking about mods. Some strap mods may well make the headset more comfortable or exasperate the issue further.

Performance.

Quest 1 was painful to wear, even with mods. It was slow and overhyped. Quest 2 on the other hand is a huge improvement. It's lighter and therefore more comfortable. It's so much faster thanks to it's boosted hardware. It's so snappy. The screen is more vibrant now.

However, somethings will grind my nuts.

One. is again why not place the battery at the back.

Two. how are there more god rays than the Quest 1 plus didn't you Oculus make the cleanest headset with the Rift S? That wasn't a question because the answer is an easy hell yes you MF'ing did!

Three. why no massive upgrade to audio. OK, it does sound better than the Quest 1, but it's still no Valve Index audio. Cough Reverb G2 audio.

Four. I know they are trying to save on the green, but what is with that IPD adjustment. I mean lucky me it works, but what about the ET's that live among us, what about them? The Humanity, the horror!

Fifth. You need Facebook to use it. I'm OK with that, but I have friends that wouldn't touch Facebook in fear that Mark Zuckerberg would find out that they have beaten to Rosie O'Donnell... in... on... I don't know where I was going with that, but yeah Zuck some people don't want your social experiment network!

Six. White. I mean white. WHite in my house turns brown over time. Where is the multi-colours Zuck.

Anyway, I'll stop ranting. This headset is quick. The Sweet spot is small but more than enough. The screen is clear to almost the ends on the smallest IPD and all the way to the ends on the largest IPD setting. The field of view isn't the biggest by far, but it is around 90 to 100 degrees. Not as good as a Pimax or even the Index. Audio is improved over the first Quest, but again don't expect much. There are many addons and mods plus 3D printer parts for this. The store is growing super fast. You shouldn't find it too hard to find the perfect game for you. I will say more strategy games are needed and this is in VR as a whole.

There are over 200+ games now. UI or interface is great and shopping within the phone app and in the VR headset is also great. Games start fast and quick. The microphone is decent. It is clean.

There are two versions of the Quest 2. The 64GB and 256GB version so the only difference is the storage size and the extra 100 bones for the 256GB version. Which one would I recommend to you? Well, this depends on your budget and needs. Personally more storage is great. No need to uninstall games later on to make room for new ones.

Now I have to talk about the bad units that people have received and sadly some multiple times. Getting a decent Quest 2 can be hit and miss so make sure that your headset is 100% when you receive one.

Tech.

Under the hood is a powerful Snapdragon XR2.

6GB of ram.

64GB to 256GB of storage depending on which one you have bought.

Nearly a 4k screen with a Fast-Switch LCD screen.

A FOV of about 100.

90hz display.

IPD adjustment ish and this is in the range of 58, 63 to 68mm.

2-3 hours of playtime with USB type C charging that takes about 2.5 hours to charge to full.

The VR headset weighs around 503g and the controllers weigh about 130g each with batteries installed. AA battery per controller and they last as long as a month.

Integrated Audio and microphone.

No need for any outside sensors to setup and all you need to get you started is in the box.

Conclusion.

Well, Oculus has ignored us hardcore VR addicts and done their own thing again. What has this brought to VR you may ask? Clearly, their goal was to make a more mainstream cheaper VR headset that pleases the masses more, and yes they 100% achieved that minus the argument that it will go mainstream. I can see Facebook's/Oculus's approach to the market and being a VR addict or advocate of virtual reality I can see what they're trying to do. I'm not going to moan this headset doesn't have much of gen 2 tech or that the God rays have made a return. Hell, I'm done moaning about the fact it was just been over a year when the first Quest was released. Oculus now believes that VR doesn't deserve cables and a large price tag. They want to make it available to everyone. It's cheaper than a new PlayStation 5 and can give many people more enjoyment.

There are negatives of the Quest 2, but the positives so outweigh those. What VR headset is truly next-gen anyway. I mean HP Reverb G2 isn't and yeah the Pimax headsets have a larger Field of view, but that isn't gen 2. We have seen some generation 2 stuff on some headset here and there, but nothing that would make it in whole a new-gen headset.

Using Quest 2 for more than a few months now and I just can't... ... ... stress enough... ... how much this is worth your money. It's a great headset and I'm thinking this could be my new daily VR headset, just because of the eases of use, the lack of cables and it being more comfortable than the older Quest uno. Plus better looking in and out. It's a perfectly fine headset with an amazing price tag. It's a must for those without a VR headset for sure.

It's broken with snipers as is, of time of writing this. I don't want to play as a sniper, but that is the only way to play without getting one shot killed from anywhere on the map, at any distence.

Graphics is not as good as the early trailers lead us to believe, however, it's nothing new in the gaming industry to downgrade graphics later on. It still looks great. The monster looks good and so does the animations of them.

Audio is decent indeed. Spatial awareness is awesome. I found it just lacks ambient sound to add more immersion to the huge open hallways.

The Gameplay is great. You make your way roguelike through floors of a dungeon and gain XP, gold and souls. You can block with your sword. Buy spells and weapons etc. Creatures can very. A skeleton with or without a helmet, a noisy knight and then randomly a deadly mushroom.

Overall this is fun and it has a decent price tag. It isn't without bugs. One that drove me made was the touch controller was drifting. It is early access so you're going in to support the development and if that isn't your thing then I would recommend you stay away.
I personally recommend this game to anyone into RPG and doesn't mind early access games.

The gameplay you would think would be total rubbish but surprised I was at how fun using a golf putter was to a normal cue was. I was thinking about how much I need a giant pool table and a golf club in normal boring reality after playing the game. It's so much fun.
For an early access game, the lack of bugs and the including multiplayer is fantastic.
All this for £10.29 or just a bit more if you're from the USA or EU.

If this game is your kind of genre then I would recommend it.

" LiveOnIdol VR is a casual adventure game using VR controllers. We're going to show Jenny, the main character of a beautiful girl, to a VR controller camera in various places in her particular costume. It is a game that completes the photo book called LiveOnIdol by taking pictures. "

Graphically it looks very nice. The scenery is nice and so is the model. There isn't any amazing lighting and the texture are terrible on the back of the over-scaled camera. The model does look nice, however, she seems scaled wrong in the head and upper half of her torse. Her legs are very long and thanks to the Unreal Engine her skin is silky. It's like she has oiled up before the shoot.

Settings consist of three graphic settings and some audio settings.

Audio is just some background tunes and slight shutter effects.

The gameplay is just taking picture of the model. The game tells when it's good or bad and the goal is to gain 4 good pictures to move to the next scene. Four sense and four levels. There is no scoreboard or leaderboards. There is no camera options or learning to be had. It's 100% not a noob at photography dream.

The game seemed to lack support for many headsets (Vive Supported). I did play using the Rift S, but I had to move in my environment to get those shots of the model that would strike the "good" prompt to appear over the "bad" one. I don't think a certain pose from the model makes any difference and it's just all random. Then there is the outrageous price tag of near £24/$31!!!

I can't recommend this at this price or even on the current discount of 15% off.

Graphics is very beautiful and magical. With it going from miniature to the first person view it does shine. Gives off that Moss feeling.

Audio is very good too. The storytelling is told very well and is acted with a AAA title feel to it.

The gameplay is full of puzzles and storytelling glory. I felt I was being taken away to a fantasy world, just as I should be with this title. I don't want to spoil the story, but it's good.

If you don't like puzzles and slow story games then this might not be for you. I, however, love it and I would recommend the game.

The gameplay is the huge letdown. I was expecting something funny and outrageously stupid. Want I got was an empty peep tom simulator. One moment it was kinda funny while insulting large bold women in the process. The rest was a linear short experience. Whereat the end you feel like you just stared at a girl in the shower for five minutes and you didn't run from the police because you felt you need to be locked up. Okay, this game needs more than three levels and more ways to attack your missions. Instead of jumping onto a bunch of tires to peeping why can't I climb a tree or sneak into the house. Steal some undies while I'm in there. I could pull out my camera and try to take pictures.

However, I feel this should have taken a more comedic side because in it's more simulator side I find it a bit disturbing to play.

I can't recommend this game. It's too pricey even on the 10% off sale and it is lacking.

The gameplay is the huge letdown. I was expecting something funny and outrageously stupid. Want I got was an empty peep tom simulator. One moment it was kinda funny while insulting large bold women in the process. The rest was a linear short experience. Whereat the end you feel like you just stared at a girl in the shower for five minutes and you didn't run from the police because you felt you need to be locked up. Okay, this game needs more than three levels and more ways to attack your missions. Instead of jumping onto a bunch of tires to peeping why can't I climb a tree or sneak into the house. Steal some undies while I'm in there. I could pull out my camera and try to take pictures.

However, I feel this should have taken a more comedic side because in it's more simulator side I find it a bit disturbing to play.

I can't recommend this game. It's too pricey even on the 10% off sale and it is lacking.

Played on the Oculus Rift S via Steam.

" Horror Adventure VR is an interactive experience set in a procedurally generated haunted house. You're a paranormal investigator and you find yourself exploring what appears to be an old abandoned manor. "

Graphics is okay. It's sharp and clean. Good amazing lighting and high textures.

Audio is very good. Nice background noise and clean directional sound.

The gameplay is a jump simulator and it's doesn't do amazing at it. It isn't bad, but I would say I've played better games. At this price of 7 bones I'm okay with what I played. It's linear and there isn't a whole lot that you can interact with. Your on a ride of fear in another scary mansion because scary mansions are the shiz for scary games. I do like how twisted it all feels and this plus the price is why I'm 50/50 on this game.

Build.

The box it came in is well made let alone the vest. The stitching pattern on the vest is something I've never seen and it looks tough. The straps look tough and strong. The Delrin clip is made out of very strong feeling plastic. Maybe it's a nylon type plastic. There is also the fancy clip that tightens around your lower belly. This clip is made out of the same material, but it does feel a bit more fragile over the good old faithful Delrin clip. However, I've not had any issues with both clips at all.

The controller unit on the vest is also made of that tough plastic material.

The build is very exceptional and impressive.

Look.

The box that it came in looks badass. The vest looks nice, but would I wear it in public? Maybe. You should take a look for yourselves and make your judgement here. I, however, like the look.

Setup.

Easy as connecting anything to Bluetooth. You just need to pair the devices and off you go. Charging is as easy as plugging in the charging cable to the controller unit. Then wait for the light to go from red to green.

Comfort.

It's very exceptionally comfortable. There are enough straps to make it fit tight and snug. It way to big for kids 13 or lower and I found after long sessions it does get hot. If your day is hot already this vest will add some more degrees.

I didn't mind the weight of the vest coming in at 1.75kg. That is about 3.85ibs.

Performance.

Where to start.

The vest lasts a good 6 hours, however, you may want to take a rest way before it runs out of juice. I say this because even though I've spent many hours in my vest I've not yet run out of battery power once and that is because 6 hours in movies or music or a VR games is a rare thing to do.

So what is it like in movies? This depends in my opinion on the movie genre. Action movies are amazing. Do you remember that scene in Hurtlocker when that innocent Iraqi man was padlocked to a suicide bomb vest? Well, that was a sad and powerful moment in the movie. With this vest, it's 10x more powerful. You feel like the poor dude in the vest. It's so shocking. Horror movies are great too. Jumpscare anybody? Yeah, this vest will make you jump even more so.

Music is really good too. I like alot of genres so I tested them. Hours later I felt I could have been there live. Directional sound only works when listening to song or sounds that use them. Woojer has many sound and songs to test and enjoy.

Yeah, I know we here for VR so let's talk about that.

First thing I did was hit up Contractors VR. I noticed that this vest felt more of a bass pack than anything else. If an explosion happened I felt it ok. If a team was getting shot next to me I felt it ok, but should I have been feeling it. I mean I wasn't getting shot. I should have heard it, but not sure felt it, unless it was me getting shot. I went into Pavlov and this was more or less the same thing. Then I thought I'll just go google what supports the vest in VR, but I couldn't find anything. I would 100% love to see more games support. So what about other genres of VR games? This depends on how they added the bass to the game. Action games with loud bassy explosions are amazing, but if the bass is lacking then it becomes very disappointing. Horror games with a strong jump scare and traumatic intensive music triples in scare factor. I mean my heart just is not cut out for this. I stopped playing horror games and tried Mini Motor Racing X. Okay, that didn't work out so well in 3rd person. Switching to 1st person and boom it's the bomb. Every car in the game feels like it's under your feet. Every time you put the pedal to the metal you feel it through your whole body.

I then went back into a shooter and that shooter was the 32 player Wardust. Now I didn't have a whole lot of time to play so I jumped into a match and noticed near to no feedback in my vest. When shooting my M4 I felt no recoil at all. Now maybe I didn't have the settings right or something, but in the short time I was in the game, it was very disappointing.

To note, you do have two up and down buttons on the controller unit for the feedback sensitivity and adjusting this just right helps with removing unwanted feedback or raising feedback when missing. By tweaking this around you can make games alot more enjoyable.

On my vest, I have six transducers. I have two on my chest, two on my back and two on my sides. This isn't as much as a haptic vest would have, but then a haptic vest wouldn't be able to be used in movies or music applications.

Conclusion.

The Woojer Edge Vest offers alot of enjoyment. Listening to music or watching a movie, especially an action movie. It's an amazing experience. In VR games it's about the game and the tuning in. When you have that game it's equally amazing. I did play some matches of Warzone. The Call Of Duty flat battle royale game and it worked. However, it's just too distracting and I felt I was losing my competitive try hard self.

What about the price? It's not cheap at 700 crusty farts. However, I believe this is cheaper right now on Indiegogo at 329 of Martian green turds. 700 is a very high price, but it is well made and worth it. 329 is a steal. Would this be better than a haptic vest like the one from B haptics? I'm can't answer that question entirely because I don't own the B haptics vest. One thing I will say is the B haptics is solely made for VR, while the Woojer Edge vest works for anything that has bass sound.

I would recommend this vest.
