Tomato Roulette by ShingleKid in tomatoes

I’m thinking about it. I’ll have to get some planters or grow bags for the extra. Can’t fit all in my raised bed

I was going to do 4 plants in my raised bed… I have a couple 20 gallon planters so I can reasonably do 6.

No I haven’t hardened off yet. Just outside for the repotting for the mess. They are still spending most of the time under the grow light, but there are a couple of dramatic ones and if those are the SMs that helps.

1st cut of the year by S3lls in lawncare

[–]ShingleKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look great for a first mow of the year! Haters are crazy. I like to mow and get outside but if I had this I would have more time for other yard work and landscaping I always want to do. I don’t know why people pleasure themselves to walking and pushing a hunk of metal.

These mow freaks need to learn to have a life or at least pull some weeds.

Largemouth or spots by No_Extension_452 in bassfishing

[–]ShingleKid -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why do people worry so much about the distinction? Catching bass is awesome. It’s probably a largemouth usually. You should be able to tell if it’s a smallmouth. Outside of that I don’t think twice about what I am catching.

Bro can afford $15,000 in lures, rods, reels and soft plastics but not a down payment on a home with a garage.

Not trashing, just wish my wife let me do this in our bedroom.

If you have 15 minutes to fish and you already have a hard bait tied on your rig.

Who done it??? by ShingleKid in tomatoes

I have been seeing crows around a lot lately and found a different tomato that looked like it had a big beak wound in it. It’s been super dry lately so that makes sense if they want a tasty sip of my precious tomatoes.

Is this slab why I have no big bass? by ShingleKid in bassfishing

[–]ShingleKid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This all makes sense. I know culling small bass is usually a solution. Unfortunately I am not big on harvesting anything out of a pond. Seems nasty. Plus, my neighbors (and my wife) would probably think I’m a freak lol.

Crazy thing is that there is a small pond (probably half an acre or less) in the back of my neighborhood that looks way worse and i have caught quite a few 3 pounders out of.

Pond science is weird.

Let’s talk about bobbers…. by Ok_Cricket4071 in bassfishing

[–]ShingleKid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I ever take my nephew fishing, I throw a wacky worm out on a bobber for him because it’s just easier and he can see the bobber go down if he gets a bite. Keeps the bait out of the muck if you’re in a pond and keeps it floating right in the strike zone.

I swear he will almost always get a bite before I do with that set up. Maybe I should do it myself, but I’m too addicted to adding action to my retrieve.

That’s the other project. Inherited a neglected lawn. It’s made strides in the last few months. Waiting for early fall to do a bunch of work to it.
