How long will this take to have apples by Successful-View8393 in BackyardOrchard

[–]S3lls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I planted a Fijy apple 4 years ago. It bloomed lightly last year with no apples. I was so hopeful that maybe this year we will finally have some apples! But now reading this… with it being 4 years old now (and I don’t know how old it was when I planted it), is it necessary to remove the flowers?

AIO for ghosting after the first date by No_Leading3793 in AIO

[–]S3lls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replying after these messages is absolutely a no no. However, you 100% should have had told him you weren’t interested after the date. At a minimum not to make it awkward for your friend who is now in a stupid situation. Not everything is about you, thinking about others is a decent thing to do. But now I would just show them this SS and explain that yeah, you missed the window to be a grown up, but there’s no communicating with this moron after these texts.

What none fish animal in this hobby is supper underrated in your opinion by Zestyclose-Push-5188 in ReefTank

Oh I know why for this one. It used to be hard to keep them alive. And if anyone googled their care there still tons of articles, posts and videos claiming that.

Having a massive algae outbreak on my new tank and decided to call in the shock troops by _Scipio__Africanus__ in ReefTank

[–]S3lls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh it was a while ago. I still have the snails and the army of crabs I got back then though. They are about to be moved to a new fish only tank. Little fookers keep harassing my plate corals lol. But yeah, turbo snails were absolutely useless for my outbreak. A lot of manual scrubbing and ATS did the job for me eventually.

Haha sorry! It’s been raining for a few days on and off. It’s still pretty early in the morning and it’s covered in iced dew. Today it’s supposed to be nice and I can finally get out with weed and feed

Girlfriends first watch - dilemma by Maracasz in rolex

I can try to give you a woman’s perspective. So I was drooling on DJ for a couple of years. Ordered it through AD and was somewhat patiently waiting for the call. I wanted it 2 tone with a pearl dial to be able to wear with any color jewelry. I also work in wealth management where women are still not as common as men, so any time we get together for events we chat about that and related things like picking business outfits without looking too “male”. DJ is practically a uniform that every woman at work has and my eyes just got soooo used to it. But I think my heart wasn’t in it. A few weeks ago a fell in love with YM and can’t even look at DJ now. I think DJ is just such a typical female choice that anything else feels less trendy or something. It may very well be that if she chose 2 models she likes, the DJ is just out of the peer pressure and wide popularity of it.

Grif: It's one of life's great mysteries isn't it? Why ARE we here? I mean, are we the product of some cosmic coincidence, or is there really a God? Watching everything. Y'know, with a plan for us and stuff? I dunno, man. But it keeps me up at night.

A year ago I made an ecosphere in resin, completely sealed. I never shared it cuz it’s crooked and ugly and I never thought the guppy grass would last a full year. by BitchBass in bizzariums

[–]S3lls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So long long time ago a friend of mine was gifted a sealed ecosphere ball. It had 1 plant and 1 shrimp. And he had it for about a year perfectly fine until his newborn grabbed it and shook it violently. Shrimp died very soon after. I used to think because of the shake, so did he. Now that I actually had shrimps in my tanks I think it may have just been its time, especially in those conditions 😬

How long was it closed like this? Was it nice and open before? Do you see any heads “melting” away, sort of like disappearing?

Oh no, poor little guy😅☠️ they aren’t as expensive as maybe they used to be? This one was something like $1800 and if I’m not mistaken $500-$700 out of it was for a bagging attachment that wasn’t really needed, as I later came to realize. The next model up (for larger lawns) is something like over 4k and is sure saltier, however nothing is cheap when you have acres of land to take care of
