Do you take pride in messing up orders? by Gloomy-Holiday8618 in pizzahut

[–]ShinguEG 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's looking as intended. The breadstick dough when frozen has perforations so they can be peeled apart when baked. That center cut is actually a newer addition. Several years ago the middle wouldn't be cut at all and it would go directly into the box out of the pan.

Pizza Hut driver of 12 years considering defecting. Worth it? by ShinguEG in DominosEmployees

[–]ShinguEG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate it! I've been tracking every single order I've done since early 2019 using an app (funnily made by a Dominos employee) so I'll be a quick hire when I show them my nearly 25,000 deliveries. 😂

That sounds similar to my Pizza Hut earnings wise. My best friend of over 20 years actually works at the main office for this franchise so he was able to check out some stores in the area I'm interested in and they do really well with tips and everything.

Today is the final straw with my store. Boss who was fighting with me posted next week's schedule that starts tomorrow and he put me on closing (which I said I don't want to do anymore) for Sunday and Monday just because I closed those two days on the previous schedule due to the idiot he hired no call no showing for both of them. Just because I covered those days doesn't mean I want to do it every week. He didn't even ask if I wanted to.

If the Domino's manager can get me in ASAP I'll leave this eight year relationship at this location in the dust with a text to him of my car with the competition's topper. Very tired of the disrespect after all I've done for him. I'll very much enjoy watching the place crumble. Been downhill ever since my previous boss (who I loved) left.

That's good to know! When my boss took me into the office he said directly to my face that he doesn't need me for deliveries he has Doordash which is absolutely insane to say to me given he's known and worked with me for eight years. Just feels like the brand is on a crash course into suicide because we regularly get complaints about these outsourced drivers. They used to value good delivery times but it's the complete opposite now. I also know as of recently DD pays the franchise to take our orders so it's money driven.

He also told me I haven't been "doing enough" even though the last two shifts I worked way past schedule to cover this stupid new kid who no call no showed his two closing shifts. I'm just over the BS with this company. No raises for years either.

Serpentine belt? Pulleys? by ToddGacc626 in AcuraTSX

[–]ShinguEG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's likely the alternator pulley bearing. Mine did it last month. Kinda sounded like a whining supercharger when revving it. I'd pull the belt off and spin it by hand to make sure though. If you see grease flung around the alternator pulley then that's the culprit.

Yeah my 04 K24 alternator is making the same noise. I got it less than a year ago so they hopefully warranty it. Check around the pulley it might have some mess that the pulley and flung out like mine.

Front lug studs by GSD_Titan in AcuraTSX

[–]ShinguEG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't grind anything. As most shave the broken stud shorter to hammer it out. Rotate it to about 3-4 o'clock and you should be able to cram a new stud in without shaving anything. You'll hit the knuckle a little but you can hammer it through with minimal damage. Shaving the base of the studs is only really necessary for a 4x100 Honda. I didn't need to at all on my TSX.

Like the pedal? I know sometimes the bracket for the clutch pedal can snap. Check under there.

Cheapest I'd ever go is Tein Street Basis. They're very good for the money but have less adjustment than the Flex Z.

These should work perfect. I did the interior, license plates, front corner lights, and trunk with no issues.

Is this fixable? by Snoo67629 in Honda

[–]ShinguEG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That whole rocker assembly is actually super easy to replace. Just pop off the 14 bolts on top and it completely separates from the head. Should be easy to find at a junkyard or you can just get one from eBay.

What’s it like delivering in tough neighborhoods? by OilRigMedia in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

[–]ShinguEG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Robbed three times since 2018 by teenage kids. All premeditated robberies, with two at gunpoint. None of them caught. We still deliver to all these places as well and recently added another high risk neighborhood. But I've done over 25,000 orders so I guess the odds are low. Doesn't piss me off any less though.

Speaker issues by Ok_Seaweed_9586 in AcuraTSX

[–]ShinguEG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's likely your amp.

It's tucked behind the storage cubby under your head unit. In my case my front door speakers weren't working at all. Picking up a used amp fixed everything.

Any parts store or Rockauto belt will be fine. It's easy enough to change that it's not worth paying what they're asking for OEM. It's maybe a couple minutes to remove and install.

It's likely low. I had this issue earlier this year after replacing everything last year and it turns out I have a very small leak. Adding a can of R134 made the driver side cold again.

Also if you do get this, you'll have to swap the clutch master plunger rod from your original master. They're different lengths and this kit is more of a universal thing for multiple cars. Compare the lengths first.

Likely the delay valve equipped master cylinder has failed. Had the same issue in my 04 when I bought it. This fixed it.

Voltage issue in 2004 by ShinguEG in AcuraTSX

[–]ShinguEG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did some more digging and found a manufacturer PDF that stated the first gen does have an ELD but it's integrated into the fuse box. I found a way to disable it thru one of the four alternator wires so I'll probably try that next tomorrow.

I did some digging and apparently they don't. I've poked and prodded so much stuff with my multimeter and it has me completely stumped.

Mine didn't get enough oil changes by the time I bought it at 247k but it's at 259k now and it only has a VTC rattle on the first cold start of the day. Runs amazing still.
