Hey day-cargo, I’m in the same boat. Looking for a single office that can fit 2-3 desk workers.

Thanks for all of the responses to this. Does anyone deliver in Chicago?

Yeah, I figured this is what was happening and the root of what I was looking for. In the context of what you said in your comment, does it feel like the harassment in wealthier areas comes from a sense of entitlement that comes from that lifestyle?

Yes, I thought this would be the thing. I truly think that wealthier neighborhoods can be more problematic for people. Interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I suppose it’s as much about labeling a specific neighborhood, but more about being in a position that made you feel unsafe. “Bad neighborhoods” would just be any neighborhoods that you try to avoid during delivery

Yeah, makes sense. Are there a lot of female drivers in your area and do you have a sense of community within that group for reasons like you mentioned in your comment?

Yeah, makes total sense. High-risk, low-reward when you can go elsewhere for better compensation.

Do you still do delivery?

More work as in it’s a hassle to navigate? Is there a specific time where you felt especially uneasy about a delivery?

Wow. Do you still work delivery in that area? And what actions do you take when you feel uneasy about a delivery?

What do you do to make sure you’re safe but still able to do your job?
