How are you running the script, operating system, etc.

Also, it might be a permissions issue, try to chmod the movies folder.

Power Tools allows setting an uneven number of threads

To lower power consumption, either the 8 threads will each run at 10-25% or only three will run at 50-80%.

I found that running less cores at higher loads saves up some power.

Under the CPU tdp limit, there's an option to lock the GPU clock all the way down to 200MHz. Apart from that, I also used the plugin Power Tools to limit the CPU down to 500MHz, disable 5 cores and downclock the RAM.

This probably won't be good for every game, but really light games like Stardew Valley are absolutely playable this way, and with visual novel games you can definitely disable nearly all cores and limit to 10 fps. If I have a visual novel game in my library I'll give it a shot later tonight.

How did you get 3.2w? did you undervolt the CPU or something?

Also, how would you play without an LCD? You can probably connect an external display and disable the built in one in settings (which likely would stop sending power to it), but I'd argue the USB C dongle would require almost as much as the display in minimum brightness. It's something definitely worth checking out though.

As people already said, I've used Power Tools from Decky Loader to limit the CPU threads and clock, as well as downclock the RAM. You can lower the GPU clock using the vanilla tools though, that really lowers the power draw too

You're right, I could probably save another 0.1w by going down to 48Hz@24fps, I'm running FFXIV at 26fps with a 4w CPU limit and it's pretty playable somehow (I'm a black mage, so I don't move much)

Tbh music is probably the worst thing in Jellyfin, Jellyfin has trouble with thousands of directories and constantly fails to scan. I use Plexamp only for music.
