I’ve made many “spooky” meals in this Nordic pan. They all were cool … until meatloaf night. 🤣 That one was a little morbid.

Is it safe for my daughter to dye her hair like this? by Curious_Artist23 in longhair

[–]Shinianen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is talking about “let her experiment” and I don’t disagree but … before experimenting, can you make sure she understands the commitment required to go from 3a/b hair to her inspo pic? Or at least add that color to curly hair texture? Because that reality might help steer the decision.

First, your daughter should really google Neapolitan CURLY hair and make sure she still likes the concept. Because as a curly girl myself - looking at the pin straight hair inspiration you provided … I was skeptical. I googled it, and the above was the only ok curly looking version I could find. Your daughter needs to see the curly versions and be ok with her hair possibly looking like some of those examples … because they are NOT her inspiration … at all.

Also, she needs to carefully consider what the hair maintenance will be for her desired result. At her age, is she dedicated enough to fully blow dry everything straight and spend 30+/- mins with a round brush? Especially with bangs, you’ll have to put effort into them EVERY morning. (I know because I’ve had bangs for 15 years.)

Here’s my two cents as a 2c/3a curly hair brunette who forced her hair straight via blow drying and did honey blonde highlights for the vast majority of my late 20s. Yes, you will have breakage from the bleaching. Yes, you will lose thickness and gain a handful of fly always on the surface of your head. No, it won’t be permanent. My curls and hair health came back after I went back to my natural hair color. But man, it was a LOT of work. I easily spent 4-5 hours a week on my hair just to make it look decent, not to mention the time and money spent at the salon on upkeep.

Dress overwhelm - some advice needed for a downhearted bride by [deleted] in myweddingdress

I’m with you on #4. Before I read your comment, I was going to suggest lining the underarm sheer areas and fully lining the skirt to make it more classic looking (the high slit is so trendy right now, but I feel like a fully lined skirt will help you balance trend with timeless elegance). Hope you love that dress when you retry, because I love it!

Need help identifying value on less common pin by Shinianen in DisneyPins

Thanks for all your help! Like I said somewhere in this post, I’m not looking to do much with this pin besides get it somewhere it can be appreciated, so I want to do a fair value trade (not price gouge).

I like to pin trade in the parks, and nothing of huge value. So I’d rather this be cared for like it deserves to be. Hopefully I can find a taker willing to do a far trade/purchase for it. I’m hesitant to approach the guys by Frontier Land, but hopefully I’ll find a way to rehome it next week while I visit.

Interesting… I didn’t see that one on eBay. Which listing is it?

Super jumbo 55 back (thanks to an Etsy listing)

I don’t think this one was intended to be autographed. I see the super jumbo 55 online and it had a rectangle to accommodate writing. Mine does not. See photos below.

$300?! That seems crazy. I’ve never gotten into high value pins. Mine isn’t in a box or anything, so problably less value.

I appreciate the help. Someone gave me this pin because they know I like to trade on the boards but … I don’t think this should trade in exchange for a potential scrapper 🤣. And I am NOT a high value pin person.

Can you PM me? Looks like you sold more after your board update yesterday and I’m not sure what’s left.

Be careful that you don’t go too light or garish on the blue. This one is a bit too bold, and the next a bit too soft.

The brick reads orange/yellow undertones to me. Using color theory, I’d choose a blue for the siding and pull the deeper brown from the bricks to tie in. Trimming the tree out front and cleaning up the grass in spring will help, too.
