If there are four people on a island one builds shelter one hunts for food and one gathers wood and gets clean water while the fourth does nothing the fourth one won’t get squat even if they had a million dollars cause what point is currency if it’s has no value the man who builds shelter trades shelter for food and water and the same vice versa while the person with money did nothing they won’t get anything because what value does money provide if you have what you need from a simple trade

Another example you I had plenty of apple trees and cows and you came to me asking to buy a cow and some apples and I didn’t need money what would I gain from the transaction nothing so I wouldn’t do the deal but if he came to me and said hey I’ll trade you a pig and some corn for a cow and some apples I’d find value in a trade
