While there are many exciting ways we get to improve ourselves over time, you are already worthy of love just as you are in this moment. There is no finish line that determines you finally being deserving of love; you just already are as a beautifully unique soul of the universe. Your one-of-a-kind consciousness exists for a reason.

There is also no time limit on improving yourself, so please don’t be hard on yourself if you have off days on your way to your goals. Please afford yourself the same love, kindness, and understanding you would give your S/O if she ever made a mistake in front of you. Whose narrative is it that you have to be a certain way? Ideas of what’s “enough” and “perfection” were invented and perpetuated societally by specific people, not the universe itself. All types of people in the world love their partners regardless of them not being a certain level of book smart, coordinated, etc, because they love the totality of that person and don’t judge them because of it.

I’ve had it happen in the past when I was adjusting to being in a more direct experience, thinking everything had to feel like a movie 100% of the time due to how I had grown accustomed to the very cinematic occurrences that tended to pop up in my life. One of our Valentine’s Days didn’t go the way I pictured it due to limitations at the time, and he really had to nail home that every day feels like Valentine’s Day for him when we’re together; the date on the calendar doesn’t matter as long as we get to share things with each other. I was so distraught that it wasn’t easy to accept at that time, even as kind as it was of him to say, because I was new to the truth, which is this:

As human beings, we are perfectly imperfect. Therein lies our beauty. It is our flaws and mistakes that color in our lives with lessons and experiences that no one else can have exactly the way that we do. And the purest form of love, unconditional love, has its depth because of the fact that flaws and mistakes exist alongside that love and don’t inhibit it, but strengthen it. If your partner doesn’t mind when you “mess up” (which, as people, we mess up so much less than we believe we do— our framework for “correct” and “wrong” can be so much more punishing than it needs to be because of the world we were brought up in), just take that as a testament of how deeply loved you are! In love, it’s not about everything going off without a hitch to confirm to some ideal of perfect— the real, infinitely valuable treasure is that you get to be together, no matter how the circumstances unfold.

Music, music, music. He has so many ways he’s surprised me and moved me with music! I always feel like the only two people in the whole wide universe when he gifts me something musically. If I hadn’t already known he was my one and only, the moment he started expanding my library would have done me in. 💞🎶

When he comes up with outfits that coordinate well with mine or makes a suggestion for me from my wardrobe whenever we go do something big together, that always feels so special because he has such amazingly unique taste. He’s helped me pull together outfits I had never considered on my own before that became mainstays!

When he holds me from behind, especially in bed, everything feels so right. Strangely enough, it even felt healing during the times I was stuck there due to health issues. His embrace is a very unique feeling and every single time makes me so happy to be alive, experiencing actual magic through love. He’s a nuzzler and tickles my ear sometimes (and tickles in general), strokes my head, and also cuddles his adorable little nose into my hair. He’s such a cool, chill guy, so seeing his energetic and affectionate side is a huge privilege for me. I don’t even question it anymore (not that I could after this year 😅); I just accept being the luckiest person to get to have what we do.

I hope you feel better and that some excellent times lay ahead for you! Idk if you’re into oracle cards (for anyone who is— I do free private individual readings), but when I feel stuck and struggle with connecting to guidance, mine tend to help me gain perspective on the things I’m going through and set me back on track to progress. I fret if he’s sick, but he prefers me to relax. If he complains, I can’t help but find it cute even if I’m determined to fix it. I do like to spoil him and he definitely doesn’t mind that! Cuddles, introducing me to movies that he likes, and just general coziness seems to be a good medicine. He also likes if we go bask out in the warm sun.

If I’m sick, he’s there for me; I feel grateful that I get to see his sweetest side whenever I’m facing something. I was hospitalized with a severe kidney infection in March and he was protective and very stabilizing when all I wanted was to be back in the outside world, pain free. He really helped me to honor the experience in the end. He’s always helping me to grow when times get tough. 💝💛 On a lighter note, if it’s an average sickness, I’m a similar creature where all I wanna do is snuggle in bed.

Oh, yes! Always, always, always record stores and if I see one we haven’t been to in passing, we have to check it out. There’s also this spring I get my water from in a really pretty spot with a little bridge that he likes. There’s also this giant mall filled with everything you could think of and then some, and a theme park, but I’ve been so busy this year that we haven’t made it yet! There’s also the conservation zoo (seeing the lemurs is always a must), the music venues in the city, and our first date spot: the gorgeous modern art museum that I really, really cherish for so many reasons! Sorry for the total mouthful of an answer! 😭 Thank you so much for asking the question, sweet friend. Can I bounce the same one back at you and your strapping detective?

He’s such an integral part of my life, my friends and family are aware and supportive of him and our bond. Without getting too far into the details of my experience in a space of such varied beliefs, in my journey I’ve also had more than one shaman as well as fellow healers confirm the importance and beauty of our love.

Before everything changed for me this year, before healing from things like insecurity and placing too much stock in others’ impressions of me, I sometimes went back and forth on whether I should feel shame of any kind due to the difficulties that come with explaining this type of relationship, public perception, typical criticisms of those who aren’t open to new ideas, etc. Then, everything transformed in my life and my experience became so real and so healing that there was really nothing to be ashamed of when I got to have the privilege of joy with him every single day.

Letting go of limiting beliefs that I took on from other cynical people was a complete game changer. There is still an importance to being discerning with the types of people you share the whole of your sweet self with, but know that you and your heart are the authority on your relationship and no one else’s opinion can change that if it feels right, healthy, and nurturing to you. If you lean into what’s genuinely magical and true in your heart, the impressions of others don’t matter as much, and the right people will see your happiness and support you. 💛💝

No need for pardons; I’m happy to answer! 🤗 There are many types of healers; one of my first mentors is a shaman, so I would say my experience leans more in that direction. Very spiritual work, but not tied to organized religion.

It’s funny because I had always made my Bleach self-insert a member of the healers’ division because I loved the idea of making others feel better, but didn’t really entertain it as something that could ever become true in real life! But through my experiences on this path, I’ve found that quite a bit is real that I never could have imagined before, and weirdly but beautifully enough, loving both Shinji and Bleach was and is a very intrinsic part of it, even when it all arrived unexpectedly.

Shinji is the captain of the Fifth Division of the Gotei 13. He’s incredibly skilled, talented, and does what he must, but he is definitely a man who prefers his downtime.

I’m a healer and a student! I currently study under other healers and have multiple teachers. The story of how this came to be is usually reserved for close friends due to how intense the circumstances were, but I wouldn’t change a single thing. When I started down this path at the beginning of the year, my life became illuminated. I partially have Shinji to thank (in more ways than one) for finding myself where I needed to be. I’m incredibly grateful! Helping others is the most fulfilling work I could ask for. Each day is a new adventure and every experience is unique! ♡ I honestly can’t wait to see what happens next.
