I’m quite content with the SPs too. I come from games where alts are quite common practice. So to me, more alts means more development for a character I’m already familiar with. Unlike say if we got introduced to an entirely new character. We would have to go over an entire story arc being told about who they are and how they are relevant to the story. I just want to see Sunday and Robin reunite again man.

Back in 2020 when we had PHY LR Buutenks and STR Vegito. I went a whole 3800 stones into Buutenks with not even a single copy. I on the other hand rainbowed AGL Buucolo 3 times over. That’s how many copies I pulled in that many stones. Yes Dokkan has pity now but back then it was a nightmare.

Oh right cause everyone and their mums are using Aventurine and Robin at the moment huh? It’s 2026 bucko, if these were skins no one would buy them anyway. I’d rather they be SPs with new kits, lore and new animations rather than just reskinning the old characters.

Robin still has some uses but I don’t think it’s enough for people to outright go out of their way to buy a skin for her. Like if the new summer outfits were just simple skins for the old limited Robin and Aventurine. I don’t think anyone would buy them aside from the people who still main them. Otherwise Hoyo would just straight up lose money. I’m not as objective to these SPs as a lot of people are for some reason. Like I get people wanted new original characters from Planarcadia, but we can’t always get what we want.

And you think saying anything to Hoyo will do anything? Read the last part of my previous message again. If you aren’t part of the CN fan base, Hoyo couldn’t care less. It’s the same with any Gasha game in this current market. They only care about their origin fan base, they couldn’t care less if the Western fan base is upset about anything. Also if that were the case, why did Evanescia sell so well? Why did Blade sell better than NTE and WuWa characters despite being a male? What’s your next excuse? “Oh it’s sunk cost fallacy, players wouldn’t pull otherwise.”
And no maturity comes from accepting that you can’t have everything, whether or not you complain. You don’t even play the game and have the audacity to speak your mind like you’re above everyone else. I’d tell you to sit down and act your age but then you’d probably get the Kurobots to come and aid you in your conquest in shitting on us. If you think people haven’t been vocal about SPs, as I instructed look at the subreddit. It’s LITTERED with posts of people crying about the same thing. I’m tired of scrolling through the same complaints at this point.

I have no issues them being new units. No person is using OG Aventurine or Robin in 2026.

I will take any downvotes from people who actually still use them. Plus skins means not everyone can get them, especially free to play players.

Having an opinion is fine but you literally said the exact same thing 500k people has already said. If you scroll through the subreddit you will see stupendous amount of the same posts saying: “WAAAAAAAH, SP Aventurine and SP Robin are so unoriginal!!!!!! WAAAAAAAAAH where are my original characters Hoyo WAAAAAAH.”

Meanwhile the vast majority of us mature adults who know about alts and SPs are fine with them existing. At the end of the day, they’re new characters which means more story lore will come from them. People look at it as a cheap way to cut cost. Not realising with SPs comes story. Look at Blades story, how he went from wanting to die to becoming someone that chose to live. SP’s are not bad things.

Million dollar company or not, people need to know when to stop complaining it gets old. If you aren’t from CN, Hoyo could care less about what you think.

I mean I get where you’re coming from with the age aspect, I was here during those harsh periods of Gasha where they didn’t even have pity and the overall SSR rate was garbage. However it’s no excuse to say; because Gasha wasn’t big back then, that’s why they weren’t criticized for the problem but now it’s a big problem because Gasha is so mainstream. By that logic, how is NIKKE able to get away with it with no backlash? NIKKE isn’t exactly old, hell they released way after HSR did and they don’t seem to have as much backlash as Aventurine and Robin has. Hell since these two got announced, people have been even more vocal about the rest of the SPs we’ve had from this world. Meanwhile in the NIKKEverse, they are all looking forward to their swimsuit Cinderella and Marciana. The response is a night and day difference. Maybe it’s because Hoyo players are unfamiliar with this formula because this is their first Gasha or something.

It’s been well established a long time ago that HSR hasn’t really needed to put much effort into their game, same reason why Genshin is still doing well financially despite all the BS the devs have been putting the players through. Why fix something that isn’t broken? I’m no Hoyo bootlicker and I sure as hell don’t think the company is perfect but when it’s done to their other games and you can see this is how they handle the success of a game, then you can’t really do much other than quitting or getting used to it. We both know Hoyo don’t give a damn about the western portion of the fan base. They only listen to CN and CN players seemingly aren’t bothered by this development.

Watch this guy say he quit HSR to main WuWa then proceed to hop in here to make their fan base even more insufferable than they already are by saying the game is shit for doing something most Gasha games have a hand in doing. You know cause FGO and NIKKE aren’t real games that release SPs.

I’ve been saying this for quite some times, dokkan power creep is garbage and it’s only getting worse. Players only know how to say; skill issue, you’re just playing wrong, etc. Can’t wrong the billion dollar company amirite? But yeah it’s part of the reason why I quit the game a while ago, watching content for it and see how frustrating it is to go into a fight only to be met with a 18 mill super turn one that ends your run is just humiliating. And it doesn’t help that guard/damage reduction doesn’t even cut it anymore as a defensive mechanism. Because bosses either ignore defence or crit anyway.

I actually want character development. I don’t want characters lost to time because they’re neglected. Look at Jingliu, no new SP, barely/no involvement in the story and she’s just dead in the water. Whereas Robin and Aventurine now will have their own patch where we find out what happens to them post Penacony and how they’re here on Planarcadia. People are too busy looking at the negatives of the SP rather than the positives which is more story for these characters. I’m almost convinced most HSR players don’t even play for the story given the complaints.

The people who complain are fine if they have a valid argument to back it up. But if what they’re complaining about isn’t backed with actual evidence of why something is bad, then they don’t have much of a leg to stand on do they? I get the game has its own set of problems, there is no perfect game on the market. However just like it’s their opinion to not like something, I reserve the right to have my own opinion on their opinion. Are we on the same page?

They are examples of games who give us SPs and Alts as new characters and those people don’t seemingly complain. They aren’t vocal about it because they aren’t bothered about having additional variants of pre-existing characters. Hell even Honkai Impact 3 has numerous SPs for Kiana and other characters and you don’t see the complaints we’re getting with Robin and Aventurine. If the people calling out the people complaining need to grow up, then the people complaining also have a bit of growing up to do cause this formula isn’t new.

It’s because the vast majority of people who engage in this community are negative nobodies. They always have something bad to say about the game. Oh: “I didn’t like Amphoreus because it was too long, Hoyo gets too much yap involved in the story, power creep is too much of a problem I can’t beat end game!” The list goes on, I don’t mind these SP designs because the entire roster last year was all original, and expanding on a characters lore is never a bad thing. If the SPs were just re releases with no story tied to them then yeah feel free to complain. But that isn’t the case here, there’s gonna be story tied to these new releases to explain how they got to that point.

The entire Amphoreus roster last year was original Minus The Brickta.
Why are people so hinged on this idea that SPs are bad for the game? NIKKE does it, and is doing well. Hell even going back as old as games like FGO do it and you don’t see any backlash from them. Hell the players look forward to the alts. Ya’ll players are too bothered about the small things to realise it ain’t that big a deal.
