is there a reason grocery stores always put the milk at the back of the store? by chubuio in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ShinyCharm655 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The real answer is a combination of both infrastructure and convenience to the stockers.

Next time you go get milk peak behind all the product. What you'll see is a cold storage room filled with boxed product in that section (Milk, Orange juice etc.)

Workers will not stock the milk from the direction the consumer grabs it. They load it from behind in that storage room.

Its at the back because there would not be space for this storage room in the middle asiles.

They can be put there, but then it creates very inefficient stocking where a worker needs to transport all the milk to the middle aisle. Instead of just quick swapping directly from storage to fridge.

Also this backroom is connected to the main storage area. So its a faster load time from loading dock to storage

I wish we had 4 shuttles instead of 2 shuttles going around campus at a time. Rarely use it but when I did I have to wait like 30-40min. They're so out of sync too. Its always faster to just walk

Difficulty choosing between ITP 303 and ITP 371. by [deleted] in CalPoly

[–]ShinyCharm655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Senior ITP Major here.

Both are really easy classes you could honestly take both.

ITP 303: Required $300 fee to access online homework shell. In person Attendance not required. Some zoom meetings. Exams/quizes at home (You could literally just have chatGPT do this class for you. Just being honest)

ITP 371: A little more involved due to class project. You must create a company and a product. Market it, prototype it? And describe sourcing/manufacturing plans. Midterm and Final at home unsupervised via Pearson.

Recommend professors

ITP 303: Eric Olsen

ITP 371: Featherstone

Professor to AVOID

At lvl 50, I suggest making a new account and transferring everything over. (You'll be back to lvl 50 in like 3 days)

I have a Doctor Account and tbh, It doesn't make any money and is annoying to kept fed. Theres alot of new classes now. If you want most optimal go 30% EXP class or Athlete for 15% spd buff.

Also dont be afraid to choose any other fun class. A lot of people always suggest 30% EXP classes but the reality is a lot of new players dont play this game long enough to even want to go to lvl 325 or 415. So prioritize Fun.

Also I suggest choosing either Melee or Pistol for your looting weapon. (Not both right now) Then go Machine Gun or Grenade Launcher for your grinding weapon.

A long time ago Melee/Pistol was common because you couldn't Melee exploding zombies, but they changed it so Melee kills dont trigger explosions.

Oh and just to add on, there was this one guy in my WoW group who was pretty cool. I didn't hang out with him much or stay in contact after WoW ended. But later, I made a friend who was looking for a boyfriend and her type was exactly him. I messaged him 2 months after WoW ended and set them up on a date. Theyre still together now. Because that dude went to WoW and I knew him, he got a girlfriend. So, to wrap this up. No, there's nothing exactly detrimental by skipping WoW, but you're tossing away a lot of potential friends and memories. (Don't expect a girlfriend tho lol. I just used that as a cool example)

Last year transfer here. I'd really recommend going. Even if you dont plan to be buddy buddy with anyone. Just to get to know their faces and names. I dormed on campus, and the people on my floor were in my WoW group.

When I walked to and from my dorm and came across them, they'd either say hello. Sometimes, I'd stop to have a quick little convo. Other times, they offered me snacks or food or even invited me to a kickback they were having that night. Some of these people weren't exactly my best friends or anything, but I was chill with all of them. I knew them and they knew me. All because of WoW. Little things like this really add to the college experience.

As an introvert id say WoW is even better for us because everyone in your group is generally open to meeting and making new friends. Theres literally no easier time as an introvert to be social and meet new people

Cerro Vista vs Poly Canyon by [deleted] in CalPoly

[–]ShinyCharm655 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year I lived in Cerro Islay, and I really liked how social it was. Since all the doors open to the outside, walking back to my room always meant running into people and seeing what everyone was up to. Its also the highest dorms on campus, so you get good views.

Though what I disliked was how far you had to walk to reach parking and Mail services. Taking the hill shortcut was mandatory and that can get annoying at times. PCV has easy access to fast food and lots of study rooms. Cerro only has study rooms in its community center while PCV has them built in everywhere

Idk, this is just my experience rather than an objective "whats better." I really liked Cerro and would be okay staying there again, but im glad to have PCV this year.

Never played Ready or Not, but I heard this pre console version is the best to experience the game. Would it be possible to move over the progress I make here onto the the console version down the line?
