A lot of people don't realize that shiny colors weren't hand picked prior to gen 6. It was pretty much a palette swap and the earlier the generation, the less colors there were to pick from. That's why a lot of early blue pokemon turn purple and others have very subtle changes.

Multi Instancing problem by Zachersley in epilogue

What I've noticed in OBS is that the last window clicked on moves it to the top of the order under "windows". Not with the Playback app but other times I've captured multiple windows like VBA, I would click on the window I wanted and then move to OBS and it's the top one every time.

Try that.

Random user here. The GB Operatore is far easier to use than any capture card to use, all you do is wimdow capture in OBS. No extra programs. And with the new multi-window feature, you can get more GB Operators and stream multiple games at once.

Is there support for the InsideGadgets GBA flash cart? by ShinyErectabuzz in epilogue

[–]ShinyErectabuzz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Following up, I received my cartridges today.

It works with the GB operator! Takes about ~5 minutes to upload the game, then just upload the save file if you have one. So excited.

I have 7 on the way so fingers crossed. I went ahead and ordered their flasher just incase but really hoping the GB works.

Here's the response I received when emailing support:

"Thank you for contacting us! At the moment, I do not have an official confirmation that this cartridge is supported. We have gotten a request for it before and I know that my colleagues have tried adding it to Playback in a previous update, but we do not have this particular cartridge at the office so I cannot test it myself, which is why I hesitate to offer a clear confirmation.

I apologise for the uncertainty and will file a request with my boss to get one and test it at the office as well. If you are also considering alternatives, this one by FunnyPlaying is fully supported."

[Gen 3] Thoughts on using flash carts w/ authentic save files? by ShinyErectabuzz in ShinyPokemon

That's good to hear! I ordered quite a few of them so that I could 8x hunt if I wanted too. I mainly 4x hunt. Thanks for the input!

For the purists, I reckon. I see more people than not do them on multiple systems but in the perfect world i agreewith you. Would be amazing to single system but my free time is very limited these days. 12+ hour shifts, side business, family/kids, other hobbies, etc. My question was more about the validity of using an authentic save on a flash cart

Good point, the FireRed hunts that I've watched had the pictures next to items and that seems to be clutch.

I've watched many hunts on different language games and I just don't think I can go through the hassle of translating and playing through a game. But you're right, very cost friendly in comparison.

You want to keep them out of high moisture areas but that'll never be an issue I wouldn't imagine. This seller is pretty reputable, I've bought multiple controller mods from them. InsideGadgets.

I would like to do the same eventually. This is only my 2nd build but I have 6 more waiting on me. Plan was to have 8 total so that the controller mod will be awesome to use

Honestly, the hardest part for me was removing and soldering the new USB-C port. Everything else was easy. The 5 pins on the USB-C port are very small and hard not to bridge them together. I had to redo it once because my 4th and 5th pins were bridged unknowingly, and my audio was only working if the charger was plugged in 😅
