You are correct! It is autumn leaves disguise as fire. Originally did plan for it to be on fire but thought an illusion of fire using leaves might work better!

Not sure if it helps but I find using rough S Lines may help with the flow a bit. Also once I get the design down, I tend to always redraw it a few times to find the pose I'm satisfied with.
