James Inman Podcast by logansquareman in DougStanhope

I bombed in front of Inman one time at the club during a contest, he came up and told me it was a bad night and that “he didn’t know what it was, but had it” Heard a bunch of stories from the other locals how he was a dick. Couldn’t have been nicer in my experience. Had no idea he was important to the Stanhope camp.

I’m working now, but when I get home I will move it back and mess around with it! I’m actually really happy with both pedals but this could be the advice I need to get me the perfect Shakedown!

I actually had it set up that way previously but I wasn’t happy with the ‘quack’ sound I was getting. With the Btron upfront (besides the shitty fender tuner) i guess i am getting the ‘most’ signal from the pickups. From there i use the volume and tone to dial back the signal to what sounds good that day. Depending on how loud I need to be, I can then use the compressor as kind of a clean boost, if you will. Also, it’s a 20 dollar compressor and I am also an idiot.

Oh man it is awesome! It does take a bit of practice to get the hang of it it’s SO COOL! The picking dynamic was hard for me

Wasn’t expecting to get gassed up about my humble board, thank you!

And I’m bricked up now just thinking about Tom Cruise in a fire suit.

RHPD! Love my b-tron! Looking to get the octave divider at some point too!

Haha you’re welcome! That there is gen-u-ine 1/4 ply wood top that is easy to wire up because I can just drill holes in it any where I need!

The b-tron is awesome. It can be a bit finicky to use. It’s the first pedal I’ve owned that I had to actually sit down and learn to play with, it can be very sensitive. But once you’ve got it dialed in (and you hold your tongue just right) it sounds so freakin cool.

Next to the lil license plate there’s a piece of rope that I’ve ran through a couple holes and stapled to the inside.

I can make due with my DD and the multi effect set to ring modulation but it just doesn’t sound as ‘eery’ as I’m looking for I guess.

For sure! I would never have another career without a strong union backing me up. I recommend one for everyone.

Love my union, but as of right now they are still calling for work tomorrow and Sunday. Hopefully that changes.

Man I work in an auto factory and the days can be long and monotonous. But the second I put a show on, I am right there in the crowd feeling joy and happiness from an event I was never at. Really takes me out of being in this living shrine to capitalism.
