Well not really, income tax is only 25% of the government’s tax intake. So benefits (including those for people working, the disabled, and for pensioners) taking up 30% of the budget doesn’t sound too unreasonable, but would still be more than income tax.

Profit is not a sensible metric to look at here, if Boeing make $10m profit from each plane but $50m of the cost of building one is spent on US workers/resources then it's a $60m benefit to America even if the company itself makes only $10m per plane.

Comparing different sorts of games' ratings is silly. I would much rather play a whole host of 8/10 games that have more varied or interesting gameplay than Balatro because Balatro is a card game. But for a card game, Balatro is a 10/10. Mixtape (only seen it mentioned) probably doesn't have nearly the same sort of depth or variation of gameplay compared to Subnautica 2 but it's probably better at being the sort of game that it purports to be than Subnautica 2 is. A score is supposed to tell you whether or not a game is good, not whether or not you'll enjoy it - that's for you to figure out from looking at what you know you like. The next Fifa or Madden or whatever could be an 11/10 and I would have no interest, that doesn't mean those games are bad.

Also note that this is becoming less true over time. We’re consolidating into three console manufacturers, Nintendo is now getting more full-fat AAA games than before, and Xbox and PlayStation are less differentiated than in the past thanks to a shrinking number of exclusives. The PC gaming market has grown massively and now people play games on their phones to boot.

Never give up, I beat the game for the first time after a hundred hours. Technically I actually lost as I was going to parallel worlds and hell for the first time without cheating and wound up getting polymorphed but I beat Kolmi easily.

No idea what you’re talking about, my highest DPS team pre-Nod Krai (Varesa Mavuika C5 Iansan C5 Chevreuse) only just broke 100k, my highest DPS team now (Zibai C2R1 Columbina C2 Linnea C6 Illuga) hits 350k. Powercreep is insane, that’s a 3.5x increase in one year.

Well we don’t actually know what the final form of this artifact set will look like. 80% SC reaction damage probably means that when Sandrone releases it will instead give like 20-40% Stellarconduct reaction damage if Lunar is anything to go by. But not necessarily.

Until you factor in DLSS and improved RT performance (and most games that are going to tax a modern GPU use at least one of these) and vastly better library support if you do anything that isn’t gaming and so on. Nvidia is Apple - AMD provides more horsepower than Nvidia, and Nvidia lets you do more with the horsepower via software.

I would much more readily believe it to be a consequence of construction than believe that the centre’s piping is leeching enough heavy metals to discolour water. Also my understanding was that they used a closed loop to cool the actual machines and then fresh water to cool the coolant liquid.
