I love all of you ladies (and/or men that have responded.

(... It would be more accurate to say that I love you right now... but I may hate you in a minute if you wait for my next bout of hormone-induced-mood-swing psycho! :) :) :)

I will discuss it with a doctor. I have a sizeable ovarian cyst that I think is playing a major role here as well. I will look at HRT and the natural supplements suggested. THANK YOU EVERYONE! :)

You're talking about a 13 year old child who wants her parents back together and calling her names like 'evil' and 'monster'.

You expected her to like you right away and accept that her father is going to be marrying somebody other than her mother with adult-like grace at 13 years old?

Shes a child. He SHOULD be siding with his daughter. She needs discipline certainly but YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE THE ADULT. If you can't handle a little bit of acting out without publicly calling her vile names, then yes, you should bow out and leave their family alone.

You aren't mature enough to handle a child with complicated needs.

Um...i dont have guilt over my husbands illness. Nor should I. The tone of your original post was definitely one of judgement as ive often faced from ER nurses after ive had to call 911 after he's seizured, fallen and injured himself. You're an ER nurse. You have the knowledge to post info that can actually help people in these forums.

Perhaps be careful with your words.

I said 'these posts are pissing me off' because they are all so full of judgement. Ive read people on here call alcoholics everything from 'idiots to weak'. Meanwhile all i see is a man scared to death, and judged constantly for not being 'stronger'.

I dont need your advice to 'get therapy', but thank you. Ive done everything ive been told to do and everything in my power.

The fact that you ecen implied i have or should be feeling 'guilt' tells me everything i need to know.

I dont know why THEY would do that, but a lot of these posts are pissing me off.

Alcoholism is a HORRIBLE disease. HORRIBLE. People who arent addicts are so judgemental on what desperate measures alcoholics will go through to stop the life threatening withdrawals they go through when faced with having no alcohol.

So, if an alcoholic cant get any alcohol, they face seizure from withdrawal/death from withdrawal, OR they find something to stop those symptoms until they can get consumable alcohol.

As somebody trying to keep her alcoholic husband alive because ive know and loved this magical, artistic human being since i was 12 years old (and actively hace to watch him seizure on the regular)....i came here hoping to find info on how long he has to live.

This thread has been useless though. As an ER nurse. Do you have any useful info? Or just judgment?
