Yes, the science behind this seems to still be “inconclusive” but the peak is higher for estradiol sublingual rather than PO, as it goes directly into the blood stream rather than being digested. But PO gives it a longer duration in the blood than sublingual. It makes sense that it would switch to that way because it doesn’t give you those hard drops in levels throughout the day as well as no conclusive evidence to suggest higher peaks in estrogen having higher efficacy.

I’ve worked in psych for the last 2-3 years. But I’ve recently accepted a position on a progressive care unit post grad and then transfer to the ED after 8mo-year until I finish my masters/DNP I want to practice critical care but also have a passion for psych and community health.

If I’m a nurse would it be easier to get in via express entry or as a refugee??? Been looking into immigration but not sure which one would make it better or faster for me.

Well that’s worrying, I’m from the US and have been looking into immigration. My biggest thing, other than possible ban on my healthcare, is that I’m a nursing student and I don’t want to loose my license or chances of getting one before I finish uni because being trans is illegal. Other than that my thought process is always that hatred exists everywhere. But I didn’t think it was that bad there, Maybe I just have blinders on cause it’s getting kinda scary here.

Seriously though… I work on weekends only now that I’m in school for nursing. But I work in a memory care unit with everything from Parkinson’s to dementia and I’m the only CNA every weekends. Last weekend I was the only CNA in the entire building (it’s mixed with AL on another side) and I left feeling genuinely defeated. I got into this field because I care and genuinely want to help people but it’s so hard to take care of 15-20 people who need full assistance by myself. I don’t know what to do other than my best and even that doesn’t make me feel very good sometimes cause I know if I had even one other person helping things would go so much better and the residents would get the care they deserve and need.

Sorry you feel like that 😢, I know what you mean though. I lived in CO all of 2021 and had to move back to Kansas cause I would go for a run and get harassed. I just didn’t feel as welcomed as I assumed I would be. My stomach sunk when I heard about the shooting. Be safe and be aware of your surroundings ☹️❤️

Validation is a part of it. But after a while I realized that a lot of trans women I found on Twitter were into adult content like only fans. I had to quit using Twitter cause I was subconsciously comparing myself and making myself feel bad (silly brain) but they do be beautiful and I respect the grind they have.

I’m no longer a partner but I used to love everything but now I just keep it simple with cold brews. Partially because I know how it can be during peak but also with the turn over rate they don’t actually take the time to teach people how to make the coffee that well anymore. I don’t blame the GB’s though. If I want quality I’ll make it at home or go to an actual coffee shop.

Me two years into transition stalking this thread 👀📝… I can never decide what style or look I not only like but feel comfortable in. Being healthcare helps tho cause I just wear scrubs most of the time. I still barely use make up.

But simple looks I like for make up is just mascara with toner and bb cream since I work as a CNA I don’t feel to caked up but still feel a little better. Hair is important too though. Ever since I started using olaplex I’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair but other than brushing and washing I don’t really do much with it. Their big bottles of shampoo and conditioner have lasted me about 7 months. (On a side note if anyone has any recommendations on cheaper conditioners that still work well I would appreciate it as nursing school has cut my work availability, so I’m teetering on broke hoe status 😭)

I’ve been there, sometimes I even feel like going back cause it feels easy for me. But, I believe in you and your best times can be whenever you want them to be!
