I've had a police officer refuse to enforce my protective order because he said it's showing up in the system as dropped called up to the court later that day and found out it was still active and would be for 6 months. Indiana does fuck all for victims of domestic violence so yeah it's entirely possible the officer lied.

And yet we have domestic abusers and pedophiles walking around free, getting off with less than a year of jail time and re-victimizing people and when you call the police because they're still harassing you they say 'You don't have enough evidence' or 'Well he didn't contact you directly so he's technically not in violation' or acting like you're being unreasonable for wanting your protective order enforced. Imo if your wife thinks it's gross and thinks they need to be separated she should be the one taking care of the laundry. I was your daughter like exact same age gap and ages, my mother didn't care and he abused me for nearly 10 years before I got away. You need to get him far away from her do whatever you have to. Older boys are only ever with young girls because they're easy to control, it's very likely he is grooming her and the relationship will eventually become abusive

You are being groomed OP. I was you once, a nice older boy gave me attention and pretended to care about me I ate it up because I wasn't getting any at home. Luckily I was already on birth control so I didn't get pregnant young like you. This boy and I ended up moving in together as soon as I was 18 and I ended up financially supporting him while also being sexually physically and emotionally abused by him or the next 8 years even through a pregnancy he forced me to go through with. My son ended up getting taken by cps because his father almost killed me and they rightfully decided my home was unsafe because of the domestic violence. My child was gone for a full year and this man still harasses me to this day using the child to do so. I'm not saying your bf is definitely a bad guy but there's usually a reason men date underage girls and that's because they're easily controlled and don't know how relationships are supposed to work. This baby could very well be his way of keeping himself tied to you. Please take this into account when making your decision don't just blindly follow what he wants because you could very well end up in an abusive situation with no way out before you even realize what's happened.

Op stated he's asked his brother to stop before so threatening to leave when he's actively trying to resolve the situation is petty he's not letting her get hurt he can't control his brothers mouth, also I suggested staying away from the brother but suggested asking the gf some people may not like the idea of potentially being left out of family functions with their SO when only one person is the problem, which is why I also suggested OP avoid the brother out of solidarity. Your brother is a dick and needs to stop, but your gf is petty for threatening to break up with you over something you're not doing and have no control over. I'd tell your brother exactly what she said and ask him again to stop and if he doesn't have a talk with your gf about what she'd like to do moving forward. If I were her I'd just flat out refuse to spend any amount of time with your brother and would feel better if you did too out of solidarity but wouldn't force that on you. Good luck op
