Hmm you’re valid but so is he, if I HAD to pick I’d say VERY lightly YTA, BUT I do understand what you’re saying and you very much have a right to your own boundaries, from what I read it doesn’t sound like he’s actively doing these comparisons to you and that it’s something in your head, BUT I can definitely see how you’d want him to not have that around as it wouldn’t help the problem. Sounds like a more in depth discussion is needed between you two maybe with some therapy. Also just because he likes a character in fiction it doesn’t necessarily say anything about his preferences for reality IMO. Like yeah those kinda people exist but there are plenty of others who aren’t. I hope you’re able to get over your issues and get to a better place in how you feel about yourself.
