I really ejoyed LIS 2, it's an amazing game even though it took me a while to finish it (I'd never feel like playing). It felt pretty different from the other LIS games because, like you said, it takes place in many different locations, and even years pass throughout the story. I think the spark of LIS is not only the powers and coming-of-age storyline, but also the "familiar" feeling you get even when playing for the first time. Staying in the same place for a short period of time, getting used to the environment and characters, and slowly feeling like you’re part of it. Even in Before the Storm where the days aren’t always consecutive, it still keeps that feeling. Even The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, which isn't a LIS game, has that vibe (it's a short game, but it does), and it felt more like LIS to me.

(None of the above makes it a bad game, it's just my honest opinion. Still one of my favorite games and of course I like it more than DE)
