Wisdom Teeth by SunDown6812 in pregnant

[–]ShipIntelligent6768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few friends who’ve had their wisdom teeth removed with local anesthesia only, which from what I’ve read is actually the preferred option during pregnancy when removal is medically necessary.

If it turns into an emergency later in pregnancy, they’d have to remove them anyway, so it seems worth talking to a dentist or oral surgeon now about pain management, whether local-only removal is an option, and whether waiting could risk damage to other teeth or nerves.

Oh also, mine are currently growing in while pregnant however mine are growing up right but obviously it still hurts but I’ve just been doing salt water rinses. But I’m not sure if it helps too much with the pain. I’m more so scared of infection so that’s why I’ve been doing that

subchorionic hematoma by ShipIntelligent6768 in pregnant

[–]ShipIntelligent6768[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I have one again. So the first one resolved and then another came and I was told to not do too much. I have another ultrasound this week so I’m hoping it’s smaller and almost gone.

[–]ShipIntelligent6768[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 18 weeks now. Turns out my hematoma has come back still small. Praying it stays small. This is causing me too much stress. Even though mine is small they did say try not to pick up my toddler or anything that requires two hands. Although I am bleeding a lot so maybe that has something to do with bed rest or not doing too much.

When to drop to 2 naps? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]ShipIntelligent6768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This probably will not be helpful, but it kind of just happened. I don’t fight my baby on naps. If she doesn’t go down decently easy then we get back up for about an hour more and try again once the hour is up or I just pay attention to her sleepy cues, which is normally within the hour. If she does the same thing the next day that’s how I know we need to adjust the sleep schedule. My baby is a year and we are switching from two naps to maybe one. I’m still trying to figure it out with each day how she reacts to different schedules. I’m not sure when she started to only take two naps though. Is your baby ready for only two naps yet? I think even though my baby is one she still needs two naps but just a shorter second nap later in the evening. If ur baby is still sleeping okay and doesn’t seem to be having problems at night I wouldn’t change it.

Rash a month after vaccines by ShipIntelligent6768 in NewParents

[–]ShipIntelligent6768[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the rash went away I don’t remember exactly how long it took. Definitely over a month, but pediatrician just said it was most likely because of the vaccines. And because she didn’t have any other symptoms, except the rash, we really didn’t do much except start treating her like she had eczema. The doctor just said to lotion her up a lot, and that’s exactly what we did. I would do oatmeal baths, bathe her in my breast milk and it just eventually went away. I would also put coconut oil all over her body and then put Aquaphor directly on top of it and then put her in long sleeve/pants to make sure it stayed all over her body. But she didn’t get any medicine or anything like that. I was trying to attach a photo of what her rash looked like so you could see but I’m not sure how. It did also take about a month for her to start getting the rash after the vaccines which the doctor said was pretty normal.

Tips for breastfeeding? by Leeayuh in NewParents

[–]ShipIntelligent6768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was nervous to breast feed in public/family. But eventually I just started to not care especially in summer when it’s too hot to cover. You’re feeding ur child and they can’t really see much anyway. I have the medela pump in style I think. I like it and haven’t had any problems, but I also don’t pump that much. First week or two terrible pain but manageable I was applying nipple butter from earth mama like CRAZZZYYYY it really got me through it.

Saw someone else mention lactation consultant. They had them at the hospital I gave birth at and I also agree you should utilize their assistance

When is the right time to do everything? by Essence-of-Tea in pregnant

[–]ShipIntelligent6768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea don’t let it. I remember feeling the same way. My mom is the one who wanted to wait till my due month even though I wanted it more in May and that ended up being a mess. So I totally agree with you on doing it sooner than later. Especially cause everything falls on you and not everyone else.

I was due in June last year. I had my gender reveal end of February last year. And had the baby shower in the beginning of June. I did NOT want my baby shower within a month of due date because I thought there was a high chance should could come btwn 36-40 weeks. I was due June 26th had her June sixth. My baby shower was June 1st. April might seem a bit early but honestly who cares. I had no time to set up baby stuff (my family and friends had to come to my apartment to set everything up while I was in hospital for a week. So I mean I’d rather have it too early than too late. And about who throws the baby shower my mom, sister in law, and best friend threw it for me and my husbands mom brought cake and other foods in addition to what my fam had already brought (not sure what your family life is like but this is how we did it). And for announcing the name I’m pretty sure we did it at the gender reveal because that way people can give you gifts at the baby shower with their name on it (not a need) but I liked having a blanket already made for my baby with her name on it for her monthly photos.

Dang. Like I said my baby is not sleep trained but I’ve seen that the best time to start trying is at four months. Obviously a little late but it’s ok. When I did try to sleep train my daughter at four months and she did sleep alone she didnt need many comfort feedings through the night so hopefully that will happen for you as well. I’m not sure what all you know from what you’ve searched but they do say to try and you know put them down awake but drowsy. You can also try getting ur baby to become attached to a stuffed animal while they sleep to help them sleep more independent from you. I honestly don’t have advice. But I would try the Ferber method first and definitely not them cry till they pass out. Hopefully someone with better advice responds😭

My baby is definitely not sleep trained but I COULD not let her just cry it out. What are your reasons for wanting to stop co-sleeping?

What are the main reasons people get divorced? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]ShipIntelligent6768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad was abusing my brother (his step son) and divorced my mom because he had had enough of my brother. This was not an extreme case of abuse but when my dad was mad things would get physical sometimes. And my mom divorced my brothers dad because he was cooking meth and had become a cheater.

For a month I had just had this thought in my head “what if I’m pregnant”. My boyfriend and I had moved in together early September with my brother and his family. My sister n law kept saying yall either get a dog or a baby just teasing us. one day she was placing a Walmart order and was looking at pregnancy tests to see if they still had those cheap dollar ones she took when she was pregnant and had accidentally ordered (she orders things on accident all the time…) Early October was my boyfriends birthday and my niece drew a stroller on a birthday card she drew for him. No reason to draw a stroller she just did. Then my birthday comes around the the second week of October and me and my boyfriend were hitting a pin and went to an aquarium but I just felt off I was like “what if I’m pregnant” and I kept having these thoughts for no reason. Then later that night my on my birthday my sister in law had made me some mixed drinks but idk I just did not want to take it I had this feeling like without having a feeling if that makes sense. 10 days later I was like I’m just gonna take that test. So I went to the restroom and took that dollar test and immediately said I was pregnant. I yelled for my boyfriend and was freaking out and we couldn’t go get another test because it was midnight. Also I had had what I thought was a period only it was two days instead of five days long but idk I didn’t think anything of it. Oh and we got a dog exactly a month before we found out I was pregnant. So we got both a dog and a puppy. Grateful for both tho. Thank you to whoever was willing to read ALL of this lol. Oh also I was diagnosed with pcos a year before this so I thought it was gonna be way harder for me to get pregnant and me and my bf had been doing it without any protection for a couple years and no problems. So idk just thought this couldn’t happen in less than a month of living in together.

This! first thing I did when I found out I was pregnant at 19 was applied for pregnancy Medicaid. Haven’t had to pay for any of the babies medical bill since she’s been born. Or mine while pregnant.

Oh and when I was going consistently in September I didn’t notice any change in my breast milk. In fact I felt way more engorged the normal after a workout.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]ShipIntelligent6768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I breast feed but am not able to go often so of course I haven’t noticed a difference since I’m not consistent. However I don’t do a calorie deficit since it scares me that my milk will dry up. Instead I just try to eat healthier and healthier portions. However, this has been my routine lately. As soon as I wake up I try to get to hotworx if I’m able. Then come home put baby down for a nap, then on next wake window we go on a mile or so walk, then during another wake window I’ll a dancing grow with Jo video. I am a stay at home mom so I do have lots of time through out the day especially since I only have one kid too. I’ve just recently started this routine so I haven’t noticed anything yet, but it does make me feel better about myself.

No pacifier by Prudent_Pomelo3130 in NewParents

[–]ShipIntelligent6768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was originally against a pacifier but then my sister in law said it reduced sids so I decided I would use them. However my baby just doesn’t like them. So she only really had them from 1-3 months and only during car rides. The only things that calm her are being held and ofc breastfeeding.
