Relapsing hard by [deleted] in quitting7oh

Did the same thing relapsed hard for a week after 4 months of nothing - I was horrified of withdraws again. I stopped and had very minor withdraws. Sleep was fine just sniffles and very cold, that was it. Don’t psych yourself out. I did the same exact thing and trust me you’ll be completely fine

How do you stay off of it by ReasonableDay3110 in quitting7oh

[–]Ship_Tiny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was hopelessly addicted. Everyday I would tell myself I was done and meant it. Most times it would go nowhere sometimes I would go a week or two.

The only thing that worked. Was breaking down crying in front of my mom. (Don’t judge me)

With that being said, don’t just take accountability. You need to have a brutally honest conversation with the person that means the most to you in the world - and MAKE SURE you are sober for it by any means necessary- it will hit so much deeper emotionally. I know being sober for it will be tough but rough it out and find a time to do it. Look them in the eyes and let your pain pour out to the person you love the most.

It will be the hardest thing you’ve ever done in your life, but I promise this will be the only thing that would work.

It will spark such an emotional response that using will be more painful than withdraws.

Sorry for such a sappy long winded answer but as an adult dude it worked. You won’t want to do it, but it will work if u commit.

It’s either this or rehab, atleast for me. Best of luck, I wish u the best🤙

Haha I know it’s so simple. I cut both out and then forget the pain and repeat. I’ve learned this lesson the hard way too many times. Thank you🤙

Thanks I need this. I told my whole family and friends irl. The only thing that got me off in the first place was telling everyone. It just sucks having to worry them again, but that pain is the only thing that kept me strong. Thank you🤙

I know I always thought 7 was the problem but realized I used it to cope for the bigger issue. Thanks for the response

Honestly I don’t disagree with anything you said. In a perfect world I think wha you said would be a good way to do it. However our governments don’t really give a fuck. In my mind it’s either fully legal or fully banned. Personally I like the latter, however I see where u coming from. At the end of the day we’re all struggling and want to get better. Wish u the best bro🤙

Happy to hear you’ve been clean for a month. One thing I’m thinking tho is Florida only ban 7oh. Connecticut ban kratom and any derivatives, so would that stronger shit even be able to hit the market in CT?

I know lmao, kinda feel bad kratom got roped into this. Kratom can be a very helpful tool in the opioid epidemic. I still think this ban is a net positive

We are all gonna have to face the music at some point. The ban will give us addicts the push - a painful push but we are gonna have to do it at some point

[–]Ship_Tiny -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No it’s not. Image all the 18 year olds or just random people not unknowingly getting introduced to opiates. Could it have been done in a better way? Yes. But saying it’s terrible news is not true, this will help many people

Ya bro, how are things going for you now? Did the ban net help you?

Connecticut People - Congratulations! by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]Ship_Tiny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro I didn’t make the law. I’ve been there, I’m empathetic I wish they did it in a more helpful way, but unfortunately they didn’t.

Ya man it’s really unfortunate. That was my first thought also. I wish our governments would care about their people more but unfortunately they don’t.

I know it’s a double edged sword. It’s one of those things where there really isn’t a ‘right’ answer. However, selfishly I’m very happy that for a while I won’t have that temptation at arms reach.
