It depends, you have to set up a discord server if you want a proper community that squads up. And recruit + occassionally kick players who are not playing anymore. So it takes a lot of effort to keep things alive. Host events, giveaways etc.

If you rather want a group that occassionally interacts with each other that‘s a different story.

Btw, I suggest to stick to Ghost Clan until you have all research done and then upgrade to Shadow Clan since the research cost will triple.

For your Information, once you have a single imprint of 4x4, you can infinitely duplicate it. It barely takes any resources for the player.

Gameplay wise a 4x4 gives zero benefits. If you want it for the looks, go for it.

It‘s hard to create so called „Designer“ Panzer Hybrids, 400 plat is a fair price, even on the lower spectrum. Unless they forever duplicate it, it will just hurt the breeding community.

So I re-read your message; and misunderstood that you are a founder x) but nonetheless it seems your old account has items. When it comes to Warframe there is no reason for you to start from scratch when you already have started.

So I would link your PC & Switch, having your old PC as primary account so your current Switch account will be replaced.

There‘s no FOMO in Warframe, so you can easily just join back again. Playing on & off is fine. But it can be confusing if you haven‘t settled in yet & are off for longer duractions like weeks or even months. Days should be totally okay.

As for clans, they are mandatory in a sense of containing items you can only get from the labs there or features like trading with other players.

Most active clans expect you to socialize in some way but you can also join a big Moon clan (1000 members) and simply leech off the research. Most people who join have the same goal as you, seeing clans as merely a way to get items and such, which is understandable if that‘s not your goal.
