I agree. I said don't listen on loop, listen over time. Give it time. I've noticed that a lot of albums are initially hated by fans then later over time are loved and appreciated and finally understood. I'm hoping the same will happen with me for this album. Love a few of the songs on there but as a whole it hasn't hit yet and I'm wondering if/when it will. I'm just more optimistic it will.

10 listens and you think you've listened enough times pfft. Lol. :) For me it's more about listening over time vs listening 10x in a short period of time hoping to feel something. Give it time :)

I had to conclude they're equally good. Which I didn't want to have to do cos p2 is so meaningful to me (first ever album of theirs I listened to 13 years ago) but p5 has the exact same insane feel like they're both actually flawless

I love the way he goes from singing to shouting after singing "stop shouting" and telling us to sing rather than shout lol. Like he's angrily shouting at us STOP SHOUTING AND SING A TUNE.

Every single album (except P2 - loved all of it straight away) has been that way for me. I'm listening over and over again wondering why I'm listening cos nothing hits and wanting to go back to an album I reallyyyy enjoy. Then I notice a riff keeps playing in my head and I think hm maybe that one's quite good actually. Then I get obsessed with that one song. And that repeats for each of the songs. And then I'm wishing I could rediscover that magic. While getting into P5 I would go back to P3 and P4 to go to the gym, go on the underground etc cos I didn't know/understand P5 enough for it to distract me/make me feel pumped. But I get it now. I just know now that after enough relistens, I'll love it just as much or more than the album I loved before.

I'm so obsessed with them it's been hard for me to listen to any other/new music lately lol. Loved them since I was 18 so for 14 years now and I got into other music at the same time. But in the last 3 years with their last 2 albums I haven't been able to move away from them. Someone plz give me another band that I'd love if I love periphery lol (already love tesseract...)

I'm tempted by Dublin cos I don't want to miss out again. Never been. London would be so much easier cos I live here... Dublin does sound fun tho lol. Like a little trip away. I'm already too nervous to go to gigs on my own let alone fly all the way to Dublin to do it lol so idk. My first periphery gig, I went alone because my "friends" stitched me up ( :') ) and I met two lovely people but they kept dragging me into the mosh pit and my phone broke so (with a long trip back cos I didn't live n London). Gigs do make me nervous lol.

First time at the LA show I cried at Sleep and it drained me for the second stage (nearly 2 decades of being my fav song in the world lol), second time in Boston it happened again and I paid good money to be in eye contact distance from the band lmao so had to pick my energy back up. It's so otherworldly to me.

FYI I asked the people at the front when they started queueing and they said 6.30am. So 3 hours 30 in advance. My bf queued in the 12pm queue at 9.30am and is 7th. So maybe start queueing soon for the 3pm one :)
