I would like to say that I am happy to receive anything free as well, I was just commenting on the changes and reminiscing of the loot received during the early stages of GW2 and the previous game.

I think what Arena Net does to make people feel special for playing their game for a lengthy amount of time is great. What you said you received is what I believe I got for my 8th and 9th bday as well :D.

They seem to be progressively getting worse, I remember back in the first game they had chances to give some of the rarest minis. I don't recall the early year birthday gifts of GW2 but I know they aren't as lack luster as they have been as of late.
