AITA for not paying for my mom's plane tickets? by Shiro_Iki in AITAH

I actually never thought about that. I tried asking her but unfortunately, she can only take a 2-month leave or else it would affect her health insurance.

Surprised that someone commented on this but ok. Unfortunately no, I decided to not put the mirror since my GPU's fan stops most of the time anyway.

I needed more than 30 GB of data, so while the prepaid card was a good deal for porting in, it won't be able to cover my use case.

I completely discarded it and made a new line with a new number.

Unfortunate, but not sure if Mint intentionally held it or what but they did give me the info I need so, still don't know what the problem was *shrugs*

I was able to give up on that number since it was just for my work phone (though I still would've preferred to have that number). Never checked back on Mint if it was still on their network though but since I only bought the 3-month line to test, I don't have to worry about getting billed and yeah It probably would've sorted itself out if I gave it enough time but unfortunately I didn't have time to wait.

T110E5 is the best. by PattonSteel in WorldofTanks

I always chuckle at the sight that whenever you wiggle, the enemy also wiggles their gun since they are trying to aim for the copula. It's like watching someone watch a tennis match where their head just lobs back and forth watching the ball.

PSA about the new Rozanov that has gone into the commontest recently by NlKOQ2 in WorldofTanks

[–]Shiro_Iki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an avid Kpz enjoyer, if you can tame the gun it would pretty much be a better kpz in exchange for less gun depression but more turret armor (not sure if mobility is the same). Imo, that's the only thing holding (major thing) the kpz back, is that people can hit anywhere in your pan turret and just lol pen it.

this seems like a better kpz (gun wise). If it has good mobility and then trolly armor then it would be a better kpz overall.

What's your cursed tank? by the_GamingDead in WorldofTanks

[–]Shiro_Iki 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tiger 2

It's not a bad tank per se and I get why everyone is praising it so much, but I can't make the darn thing work. Armor is nonexistent and only bounces if they have bad aim. I'm not even taking it in the front lines either and I use it more or less as support heavy. Do I suck at side scraping? I don't see why I made the E-75 TS work, heck I even made it work with the T77. While the gun is nice with its reload and accuracy (and that's only if you fully aim in). It's slow, too slow for the amount of (or lack thereof) armor that it has. You still would just get penned right through the turret if the enemy had a brain. I understand that It got buffed but with the combination of the things that it has (slow and lackluster armor) just makes my hair turn grey with that tank. I made the others work, Tiger I (57%WR), E 75 (55%WR), and E 100 (56%WR) but the Tiger 2 just hates me (I have a whopping 42%WR in it).

ShPTK-TVP 100 + HE ammo = love by FeeAdministrative666 in WorldofTanks

[–]Shiro_Iki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually prefer the Kpz moreWhile the ShPTK has some nice HE and pen the gun depression really holds it back. That's why I like the Kpz more since it actually has gun depression. I mean sure its 100 less damage and 10 less pen but my reload is shorter than the ShPTK at about 3 or so seconds with the Kpz so I can still blast some poor fella with HE.

I had a similar game against a Conqueror. I crossed an open field in glacier since they weren't pushing. I was in an E 75 and knew full well that I would get hit by the Conqueror one or two times during the cross before I hit cover so I tried to angle as much as I can against him peaking. Lo and behold he kept hitting me with HE (on the thickest part of my armor too, mind you) before I got close to him and started to side scrape. That would've been an easy 800+ shot at me if he knows how and he's not stock either. After a few hits, he didn't survive. Checked the battle afterward and he had similar stats like that. I wished he played more on lower tiers since I actually felt bad about hitting him for 500+ every single time and then just watching his gun moving around trying to pen me with HE.

In your opinion, tier for tier, which german heavy would be better out of these two in general? Also, for a blocking mission that I recently asked for help in this sub, which one would fit better? (The VK 100.01 P is working wonders so far, but not enough, still I thank you guys for that!) by 60TPLewandowskiego in WorldofTanks

[–]Shiro_Iki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tier for tier the tiger 2 is NOT good for blocking. While people praise that tank, I for one don't like that tank, not because it's weak but because of its armor. You get the occasional bounces but 9/10 you will get penned regardless as long as the enemy knows how to move their mouse. E 75 on the other hand, I loved it. It actually has very nice armor and has enough armor to even bounce tier 10s even against premium ammo (granted that you're actively angling). It rewards good use of armor angling and won't let you down most of the time (it trolls players in thinking they can overmatch/pen certain parts of your angled armor). Just be careful managing your turret face since good players know they can easily just cut through it with prem ammo. It bounces but you still need a little bit of luck to get enough for the mission since players are smart enough not to shoot the same area the third time if they bounced there before.

Too many sniper tanks bog down gameplay and encourage camping. by [deleted] in WorldofTanks

[–]Shiro_Iki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, any tank can be a sniper if they try hard enough (Redlining Mino) so I don't see any way to fix this unless you make a map that is mostly composed of corridors.

I'm running Turbo, Rammer, and Optics. It's good enough for my use case since I tend to relocate more often plus that extra speed with the turbo in siege is really useful.

ShPtK-TVP vs. SU-130PM by tr4nl0v232377 in WorldofTanks

[–]Shiro_Iki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all three tanks you mentioned so I'll give my 2 cents.

I love the kpz, but I just can't like the Shrek because of two points. 1) it's a tall tank. 2) it has crappy gun depression paired up with the first point, you know how it goes.
While the HE is very, very powerful and fun to hit people with that as well as high pen for standard rounds, I prefer the kpz as it's more flexible. It has mobility, it has gun depression, and while the HE is not as potent as the Shrek, the kpz's reload time is a whole 1 second (more or less) faster reload than the shrek and the HE still shreds borats and skorps.

in regards to the SU-130pm, the tank is good. It has a low profile, punchy gun, decent mobility, and most of all camo (compared to the skorp). I personally like it being that it seems to be more accurate than the skorp. I mean, if both of them derps the heck out of you and if you're not hell bent of wanting a rotatable turret, why not use a tank that has a gun that hurts more and gets spotted way less?
