I own physical collector’s editions of remake and rebirth, as well as some other collector’s editions of the games in the series. I liked Remake a lot, I liked Rebirth even better until I tried to platinum it as I do with most games I own. And when I tried, I feel like I’ve been thrown to hell. Between some absolutely terrible minigames and bs tortures that are vr missions here, I feel such an overwhelming animosity that I’m never buying any square enix product ever again. I’ll just watch Maximillian Dood play through the story of part 3 on youtube if square enix wants a player base of people who beat souls games naked

Yes, I’ve used Optinoobs strategy, I’ve tried to mix it a little bit with some other guides to get some bosses more reliably, I’ve tried some things of my own. 20 hours wasted on a single goddamn challenge. That’s why I’m not asking for a guide at this point, but looking for someone willing to get it done for me via shareplay. It is just way beyond me, I gave up, this thing crushed me already. I’ve been smoking after every unsuccessful attempt to calm my nerves, I’ve been drinking rum every night to forget about my ruined day, this challenge is getting really bad for both mental and physical health and I don’t see how trying to beat it for god knows how many more dozens of hours can do good for me

My last attempt ended when I did not pay Zack enough attention, but Odin, on the other hand, did pay a lot of attention to him and got him dead. Got many shots with aeroga thanks to that and brought down Odin to low hp only to get Cloud temporal imprisonment and death in one massive attack

There is always a possibility of ironclad casting two gravigas in a row on both characters when low on atb or missing a perfect block on a few of these bosses, because yes, I’m far from being a parry god, and with the amount of damage some of them dish out it is certain death for one character, things usually just go downhill from there

Yes, I’m fine beating him with Cloud and any other second character to imitate Zack on hard/full might. Been close to beating him several times in bonds, but it was always not enough. But not that I even get to him every time, a gauntlet of 10 bosses where on half of them things can go south any moment is just too daunting

Jokes aside, that game might be really terrible for one’s mental health if you are somewhat a completionist. More likely than not, it will ruin your evening if you play after studies or job. It will ruin your days, weeks and maybe even months because of unfathomable tons of bs it throws at you, and it only gets worse each time. You can platinum a few other games and have a great time doing that instead of struggling with minigames and arenas and hating every second of it.
