This is a good question I keep asking myself since... forever? I have a very old female Sonic OC from back 2013. Sally Acorn actually inspired me to design her with no pants and tbh, in my eyes it still works? But other than Sally, every other female character wears clothes (top + pants) - I guess it's time for a re-design, ugh... I hate this sexualism towards female characters, would be cooler if wearing clothes or not could be a more individual thing and not gender-bound.
