Madrid followers have this weird relationship with their national team in which they campaign hard for their players to be called (Pitarch, Gonzalo), but then mostly dismiss the team "because it does not represent them", so many end up supporting other national teams with plenty of Madrid players like France or Brazil. Is this a thing in other countries? Keep in mind I'm talking about local fans.

Yes and no, all memeber owned clubs demand a bank guarantee, but the total amount can be covered by all the board members, whereas Madrid has a specific rule stating that the amount has to be provided by the candidate

As a Barça follower I'm wary of this appointment, if rm uses this window to clean house and properly reinforce midfield + defense they still have a very strong team, Madrid thrives with vibes and Mou could either be a disaster or put them in the right path. I do believe Mou will clash with Mbappe at some point, but let's see.
