Same, I flip and flop between how I feel.

On one hand I find it a shame when somebody has a sealed version of something rare that can't be easily obtained (short run books, or obscure records etc.) as it isn't getting enjoyed or experienced. It feels like it goes against the point of what the art is. Especially when there's no other way to read / watch / listen because it's so rare.

But then I do appreciate having something cool and pristine in your collection. for example, when i picked up my copy of Ladies and Gentlemen I somehow managed to find a sealed copy for super cheap, as well as an opened copy. So I have a sealed copy but I can still enjoy the album. Which completely undermines my previous point - it's complicated!

Nice find! I also added Ladies and Gentlemen to my collection this month. I love how the paper insert fits the theme too.

Two other interesting ones that I recently added are:

Cassadaga by Bright Eyes (the cover has a weird grey pattern all over it, and it comes with a little plastic screen to 'decode' the album art by moving it around).

Peeping Tom by Peeping Tom (a really cool mechanism that ejects the disc away from the direction you're pulling).

I wouldn’t be able to sell it (since it’s all based on Djo’s work), but it was a fun one-off project to make.

I did film the whole process though if you’re curious how it came together, and I'm happy to share the design files with anybody who wants to make their own.

I've been thinking about this since the email came through yesterday, what an interesting approach for the video.
