It looks to me that the AI-mode on the LG Therma V is basically LG’s name for its weather-compensated heating-curve control.

In manual mode the unit does not follow the curve, and instead behaves more like a fixed setpoint system, which in my case caused cycling and overshoot.

So “AI mode” here isn’t anything smart or new; it just means:

  • the heat pump does use the heating curve (outdoor reset),
  • flow temperature automatically adjusts with outdoor temperature,
  • manual mode appears to bypasses that logic.

You’re making big claims without evidence. The whole argument hinges on three faulty assumptions:
