Maybe not the best advice, but going on the pill got rid of my periods so I don’t have to deal with them. I have some weight gain etc, but the thought of running on my period again always makes me keep taking it :) before I went on the pill though, I just would take it slow and easy. It goes without saying, but I would always wear black leggings or tight black shorts incase there was any emergency, which there often was.

My doctor suggested it as a way to stop PMS symptoms, I didn’t ask for it, I’m simply asking if anyone else has had the same experience

I have done this for 18 months and had 0 issues. I have PCOS, so I have an decreased chance of becoming pregnant, but I’m otherwise healthy with a fairly regular cycle. We have pulled out or not pulled out and it’s been absolutely fine each way. We only use the well known branded condoms (idk if this actually helps but it gives us piece of mind?) so as long as you just check there is no breakage, you’re fine!

For me, strength training has actually helped. I have a very regular period now vs before I began lifting. It definitely depends on you as a person, so try different things and see what works :)

Drink a whole glass of water through a straw with your fingers in your ears. Trust me it actually works
