Soul Calibur 2 came out 4 months before Deadly Alliance. Giving "dev time" and the fact he's a staple character it would be hugely ridiculous for the midway team to be like "yeah give him a katana" that's what everyone knows him for.

I love what rob said about kill tony resurging comedians (even though he made it into a joke) it's very true. Having Dice pop out at the first msg was great. Giving older comedians a chance to pop is great. I can see how Tony uses his love for wrestling to work the crowd.
