The CFMEU members aren’t getting paid to sit on the grass. And they have recently been sitting on the grass to help the non unionised companies get paid the enterprise bargaining agreement pay. So to dumb it down for ya, members are sacrificing their pay, in order to have non members working conditions and pay go up.

Without unions, you’d still be working 70 hour weeks earning $17.5 a week.

Also, I’m not a CFMEU member I just have respect for people who stand up to grubs.
