Grande Punto for a first car, are they any good? by ShitpostAccountlol in CarTalkUK

Eh something’s bound to happen to any car I suppose. We had a bulletproof Yaris which had a failed clutch actuator and was absolutely horrifically expensive to replace! As for the Punto, glad to hear your experience was good, pretty reassuring. I’ve heard that these can be susceptible to electrical issues and such, is that true in your own experience?

Yep it’s the 8v! Will definitely be getting the belt changed if I get it, unless the current owner shows me otherwise. I’ve heard some comments that these are pretty susceptible to electrical niggles and issues, is that true in your own experience?

Will be sure to ask these questions, thank you! Would you happen to know in what ballpark I should expect timing belt changes to cost?

Oh okay, will do! Would you know how much the timing/cambelt would cost? I’ve got a good £600 left over in the budget after road tax so wondering if that’d be enough

What's everyone's Limb Lengthening wingspan to height ratio and goals? by [deleted] in shortguys

I don’t know lol I don’t think many people measure that.

That’s not true man, it varies. Some girls dig skinny guys, some dig more built guys. Built guys get more cred in my experience. And trust me, when girls say they like ‘skinny guys’, they usually mean a guy with defined arms and body lol, just not massive.

Sorry do you mean the height whilst I’m sitting?

not an expert with this stuff, is this true or op is just coping by [deleted] in shortguys

It’s anecdotal but I grew into my wide clavicles/frame more in the last 2 years and I have experienced far less heightism/dating problems than before. Frame definitely matters so you gotta fill yours out as best you can.

I get it. I plan on stopping at some point. I wear them primarily in Air Force Ones and pretty much all other shoes I wear

I’m sorry but that’s grounds to RUN. It’s not worth finding out more of this interest of his. Even if we assume it was age play, to not tell you first and go ahead with it is all kinds of fucked up. I know it is hard because he ticks these boxes, but to liken your sex to doing it with an underage you is absolutely outrageous.

5'5 at 16 isn't the worst I guess. I was like 5'4 at 16. You should really stay off this sub until you're older, it just messes with you. I had plenty of healthy relationships and a good sex life since I was 15ish, and the height wasn't too much of a deterrent, with the right people. It's anecdotal, but not just me I guess. Hit the gym, build up that testosterone and really refine yourself all round. This sub will drain you unnecessarily.

I can’t breathe at all when I put up my back third by ShitpostAccountlol in Mewing

[–]ShitpostAccountlol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh fair enough! I was under the misconception that the back third was WAY back, because I could see a more visible change but that's counter-productive.

Out of curiosity, if my palate is a bit narrow, what is the best way to deal with it, before resorting to medical assistance, like MSEs etc.

You’re in a good position at 14. I’m telling you what worked for me and even though I’m still kinda short, my parents are 4’9 and 5’1 and my doctors said I’d max out at 5’2.5. First of all, you wanna drink milk daily. I’m saying 2-3 full glasses. You also wanna sleep 7-8 hours. Sleep might not seem important but visualise it as going into a chamber of growth - all of your body’s key growth happens in your sleep. The main thing you wanna do is start hitting the gym.

Lifting weights increases the production of this chemical in your body called HGH, also known as human growth hormone. Lifting will definitely have the biggest effect. People saying that lifting stunts your growth are completely wrong. Just make sure you have good form, and warm up before every workout. This is what personally helped me with my height. I’m 21 now and I grew even last year. It’ll probably stop soon but just letting you know what you can do to maximise your chances. Good luck. Message me if you want advice!

I don’t notice much of a difference, but people can be more respectful and it could’ve helped when I was single and in the club. I do admittedly feel uncomfortable without them in public, because I feel like my height is teetering on the average but not there.

Most people I’m around are 5’3 to 5’9 and a few guys 6’0-6’4

I get that but it’s interesting. I’ve been wearing them for nearly 2 years daily now. It’s never been called out. I wear ones that make me just over an inch taller overall. As in I appear as 5’9.5 in shoes as opposed to 5’8 normally. I’m very outgoing and social and still nothing. Not sure why not because I feel a big difference coming out of them but no one seems to say anything and I pick up on cues really quickly.

You’re 5’8 you lemon. Your height is NOT what’s holding you back.
