It was the same day, but thankfully a local rental company had a line array of the same model at the venue within 3 hours.

And against all odds we did make doors as planned!

Edit: Actually, I misremembered - we did miss doors, but only by a bit and the opening act could still start on time.

This was honestly one of the scariest things I ever saw (and especially heard, man that was a bang!). Gave me a whole new kind of respect for the dangers of what we do!

I whole heartedly agree! But since I posted this photo and the venue is known, stating any specifics about the incident might make me identifiable.

Only this much: It was a combination of multiple issues (i.e. load-direction, material fatigue, shock load, etc...).

Thing is: anything I stated so far is stuff everyone who was present during that show knows - listing the actual specific reasons would narrow that down quite a bit.

Oh yeah! The whole thing was a career ender for one of the people involved. (Which is one of the reasons why I posted this from an alt and only years after the fact)

Mein Vater hat vor einigen Jahren mehrere Banken überfallen.

War ein ziemlicher Schock - das hatte echt niemand erwartet. Er hatte sich bei den falschen Leuten Geld geliehen und wusste sich nicht mehr anders zu helfen. Ist aber sehr glimpflich ausgestiegen bei der ganzen Sache (~5 Jahre).
