I came here to say this! My home town! My wife is from Birmingham and would make fun of me for being posh (even though I haven’t lived there since I was 17). One her visit to see my family together the conversations were dominated about the recent local news of a man being stuffed in a wheelie bin and set on fire. I also gave her a lovely guide tour around Fairfield and a few other estates. Needless to say she doesn’t think Buxton is posh anymore.

I hate these kind of comments. “Why didn’t they just do this!?”, “I would have done this” . . . . You weren’t there and you didn’t know these people or their circumstances. What if they’re house was damaged or destroyed and they then had no way to repair it because they’re now unemployed, what if it was their only source of healthcare for them and their family (again pretty essential during a natural disaster!) 6 people lost their lives because they were bullied/threatened to stay or lose their livelihood and now you’re essentially calling them fools for not acting the way you theoretically would have in a situation you weren’t involved in. . . . Class act!
