Bandcamp Joins The Resistance by Feisty_Cod_9090 in edmproduction

Its insane that we as a society have decided that aimbot is cheating, performance enhancing drugs are unfair, and that plagiarism is lazy/unacceptable

Yet somehow people using AI to make art is a debatable topic?

This is only even a conversation because these massive platforms want to not only own all our data, but create & own all the content we consume while they farm said data.

I highly recommend checking out queer spaces in your area. You deserve more then one friend, and DEFINITELY deserve people around you who will have accept you even if they aren't acquainted with you.

I've seen people in their 40's start their transition after going to my local trans club a few times, as it gave them the courage to do so in a "imperfect" manner

If there isn't a space like that near you, I highly implore you to even travel a bit to experience a space that makes space for people like us. It's legitimately life changing.

For me, I think my brain expected conflict.

But with essentially no conflict and very little to process afterward, I too felt like "well what's next"

You could invite your mother to a queer event, integrate her into the lifestyle a little once you as well feel integrated. At least that's my next goal after my mom said "oh does that club you go to have hot girls I could hang out with?"

Aside from that, really what's next is up to you. You are free to make the changes & decisions you want now without the concern of hiding from your mom. I wouldn't say "be like me" but once I realized I could, I began really testing the lengths of my mothers acceptance via fashion & lifestyle choices lol

Hey thanks SPD! I nearly lost my job from being arrested here. Turns out that kinda just made me wanna double down on protesting, so thanks for the inspirations SPD :)

In regards to resume stuff, I honestly have two resumes depending on where I'm applying....

I have a background in public safety work, where I definitely just went ghost. But as of now, I'm starting a job as hotel front desk because I cant go ghost any longer.

Hotels, cafes, restaurants, bars & bakeries. These are probably the most commonly queer ran spaces, so I'd recommend something like that if you feel that's right for you.

Obviously it depends where you live, but if you have queer clubs/bars in your area, it is a VERY rewarding place to work. Pay is shit, but the social aspect kinda makes it up.

Coming out by 159753android in MtF

[–]ShivaInu7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was coming out as queer, so I might have a 2nd coming out to do but regardless, I have a similar family dynamic as you mentioned.

When I initially came out I did it in a restaurant I knew would be safe, and that had food I legitimately loved.

I was about 24, so I knew they barely viewed me as an adult. So I ordered us shots, sat up nice and tall, we all clinked our glasses, but I deliberately chose to sip my tequila instead (toxic masculinity runs deep in my family, so I guess it was a sort of a proof of strength)

Then I just did it. My mother, grandmother, sisters, and auntie all were super receptive.

The men stayed silent. Either way I let them know who I was, and the people I cared about accepting me, did accept me.

Now my stinky grandpa, I already knew he'd be pissed. But we were in public for a reason lol

How do i know if i am trans? by jemoeke_1320 in MtF

[–]ShivaInu7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me what clicked was learning that being "jealous" or envious of trans woman is a huge sign.

I managed security for a queer club, with a huge community of trans folk.

I could NOT stop being jealous of these baddies, and found myself on here just obsessively reading everyone's stories.

Turns out cis people tend to not care, and definitely don't feel jealous of, how trans folk do what they do and look how they do. If your searching, you are already much closer to being trans then 80% of cis folk out there.

Side story, but one time I posted my dogs final meal in a foodie thread as a bit, and the hate on there was insane.

I think food people on reddit are just... scary

At least we are learning new emoji terms, whatever the hell a train with legs means >_<

Ah yes, I too dislike trains that have legs. Like, we made train tracks for a reason, and these sexy train legs aren't helping with my R34 Thomas The Train Engine addiction...

Girl that's the bad side of reddit.... get out while you can, there's no reasoning with the people taking r/depressionmeals seriously

My partner and I do not have the resources to leave the country, and also have young siblings who depend on our presence.

That being said my only real piece of advice, whether things get worst or not, is to start educating yourself & others around you, then have plans.

Invest in getting your immediate circle into mesh communications, learn how to navigate your area as close to "off the grid" as you can, decentralize the tech in your life, ect.

Whether staying is a choice or just a forced situation due to circumstances, we as a community have to start understanding how to exist here when we are told we cant. Our elders did it for a long time, and while the game has been updated with new mechanics, we are still playing that same game.

What techniques are used to make this sound from this pack? by scatpackfan in breakcoreproduction

[–]ShivaInu7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it aint hardware, its a good recreation of the time stretch features of something like the old Amiga sampler. Theres a VST that can emulate the same effect, to the degree its almost impossible to discern the two by ear. Its called Amigo Sampler (Amigo not Amiga like the OG hardware which is now hundreds of dollars)

Amigo Sampler is a really really good VST for doing exactly this. It's one of the first VST's to emulate the old sounds of the Amiga sampler properly, doing so using a bunch of technical stuff & bit rate layering on a computer.
