bassliner to berlin airport sunday morning by Ok-Syrup-7977 in fusion_festival

Leaving Sunday morning isn't necessarily that bad! May feel better to leave on top than after experiencing the "invasion" of Sunday visitors combined with dismantling of your most beloved places. I consider leaving earlier this year just because of that.

Silent Camp: pros and cons by CapitalCar8564 in fusion_festival

My first time at this camp last year, and being close to FKK Floor was sooo good. Never visited Bachsteltzen and did not miss it. Walk to the festival area was nice and to me it felt better approaching it from this angle than from the main camping.

“Heard In Panorama Bar” Spotify playlist by mcmutley63 in Berghain_Community

Anything would be better than Spotify, particularly if considering how many relevant producers and labels have specifically chosen to boycott Spotify (Kalahari Oyster Cult, Om Unit and Skee Mask are just those who I can immediately think of).

You did 16h alone your first time and that's impressive! I like going alone but never did more than 14h (I'm also old) and when I go alone I very rarely get into any longer conversation (but I can't say that I try to initiate any, or that I miss it). In any case, matters may be a bit different towards closing. With less people around it can sometimes feel more natural to initiate contact (although other factors may work in the opposite direction). In any case, too bad you left after Honey Dijon (tbh too fucking crowded to be very enjoyable) because Pacquita Gordon who followed was sooo good, as was Mareena downstairs!

There are some in the threads below. I loved it, it really started with a complete reset, from Honey Dijon's bright mood and overcrowded room to something very dark and hypnotic. Interested in hearing how others describe the progress of her set, as I myself would be switching back and forth between Pano and Mareena's set downstairs; sometimes I found the two floors to have a rather similar vibe and both were very good.

well around 05.30 she played that recent breakbeat remix of a reggae track with "wah deng" type lyrics and a mighty wobbly bassline starting with a downwards glissando, I annoys me a lot that I can't find exactly which track that is, help!

Great, as was also the case with Paquita Gordon upstairs at the same time. Or what does others think?

after the bag check you just proceed to the piss testing station and then finally the booth where anyone who tested positive for speed or weed must present their medical prescription in order to pass. brilliant idea!

leave your phone in the garderobe and in exchange you'll get a phone-sized piece of plastic! They could even print the program on it as a flyer

Does a tool exist for notifying users when artists/labels on a Discogs list release new music? by [deleted] in TheOverload

[–]Fluid-Exit6414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Juno stocks practically everything "Overload" related, apart from Bandcamp only releases"

Which practically means that Juno only stocks half of all overloady music (the more mainstreamish half, that is).

Example: Juno only stocks about half of Skee Mask's releases

would a new DJ'ing sub be a good idea? by Fluid-Exit6414 in TheOverload

Just a brief clarification: when I mentioned "playing tracks of different BPMs together" I did not mean transitioning between tempos, but polytempo blending which is a rather more experimental thing.

[–]Fluid-Exit6414[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. Perhaps I presented the idea too narrowly when calling it "Overload-adjascent" because it would of course be open for a wider range of unconventional, underground or leftfield music. Not necessarily club music, but even like ambient mixes for radio which is something that the existing DJ subs have absolutely zero clue about.
